Remember that kid in junior high who bathed in cologne? Of course you do; all junior highs had at least one. It was never the good stuff, either. Well, imagine being stuck in a room full of kids like that. This is what the Hawaiiian Sandalwood scent is like. I bought this diffuser for my office, which is admittedly on the small side, but the scent was so harsh and unpleasant that it wouldn't have worked in an area of any size. I could tell that my colleagues didn't care for it because they backed out into the hallway to talk rather than come into my office to sit down as usual. After an hour, I began coughing and just took it to a trash can outside. It's not even that I mind strong(ish) scents. It's the fact that this one was both overpowering AND unpleasant, like a tanker filled with Polo crashed into an AXE factory, that killed this one for me. Pass on this one, folks. ... show more

I purchased this about a week ago and am very disappointed. It's at my kitchen sink, about 3 inches behind my faucet. Surely, I should be able to smell something when I'm standing at the sink, but no. I gave it a couple of days and have rotated the reeds several times. I started with a couple of reeds in case it was strong, but have all of the reeds in the bottle at this point. If I get the oil on my fingers, there's a faint smell, but there is no smell in my kitchen. So glad I didn't buy a couple of other scents I'd picked out from this brand. The only reason it got a 2nd star is because the packaging and bottle are pretty. UPDATE: After leaving this review, I was contacted by LOVSPA. They were sorry I didn't like the product and gave me the option of a refund or replacement. I took the refund and received it promptly. So, I gave them another star for excellent customer service. To be clear, the scent I ordered was Coastal Citrus -- I have no idea how the other scents might be. ... show more
