    • Great, great fun
When you buy a sex toy that comes with a 40-page instruction booklet, you know you're in for a treat. Granted part of the reason it's that long is it's written in several languages, but still. I got this because the lovely woman upon whom I have a crush lives in London, and when you're separated by 4,748 miles, you have to get creative to make things work. Part of the creativity we've had to exercise has involved installing new server infrastructure in the house and brushing up on open-source streaming video server software, so it was nice to find a turnkey gadget that allowed her to reach out and touch me without the need for fussing with Darwin Streaming Server or dynamic DNS configuration. The current state of the art in open source software is why we can't have nice things...but I digress. This is a lovely device. It's absolutely fantastic fun. The smartphone software is easy to use, though you need to register an account with Lovense to make use of it...such is the nature of our modern, interconnected world. While the Amazon description doesn't mention this, the control app included an alarm clock function. Let me say that again to let the magnificence sink in: The app includes an alarm clock function! I anticipate that making waking up in the morning a whole lot more interesting. The plug itself is quite well-designed and definitely stays put even when you're out and about. It's not silent, but it's a lot quieter than many other wearable toys I've used. In a normal environment like a restaurant, the sound it makes is not likely to be noticeable. It offers powerful vibrations, of a deep, raspy sort. I quite prefer this to the high buzzing of some other vibrating toys. It's covered in silicone, but it is not solid silicone all the way through; the electronic gubbins are inside a hard plastic shell beneath the silicone. For that reason, it's harder than pure silicone plugs. I was debating whether to get the small or large size. I'm glad I went with the small. If you're on the fence, I'd recommend going with the smaller size, simply because if you're accustomed to other toys the hardness of this one makes it feel a bit bigger than it is. The description advertises 1.5 to 2 hours of use. We get 2 or more, but that might be because my crush is a tease and likes to run it at low levels just to frustrate me. If it's not running at all, expect about a full day of standby power on one battery charge, which means if you're in, say, hypothetically speaking, just as a random example, the Pacific time zone, and your significant other is in London, and you wear it to bed, you might expect to be jolted out of your sleep at 4AM when your London partner is waking up for the morning.     • WOW! Powerful motor!
Wowsers, this thing is packed with a powerful motor. I've never felt something so powerful in that size and battery operated. Size-wise the toy is fine - maybe not for a first-timer but anyone with experience will be fine. I'm not completely sold on the screw-style ridges below the bulb, I found them more discomforting than helpful. I'm also not sold on the charger port location, I feel like this could've been engineered to fit right at the very bottom end and not in the insert-able part. It's supposed to waterproof, but I don't feel it's a guarantee with the placement. One place I feel it most lacking for all of the Lovense products is their app. There needs to be a better way to tie a device to the app or multiple apps - as most people are using them with a partner. This device consistently had issues getting recognized and associated with my app and even gave me an error stating that too many devices were associated with the toy - mine was the only app ever connected to it so I'm not sure how 1 can ever be the max. Most times if you walked away or tuned off Bluetooth, the app would clear out the toys and you would have re-associate it with the device again. There has to be a better way of associating a device and then only becoming dis-associated when it is manually removed. The app does have nice features once it actually connects - like creating new patterns, saving patterns, finding ones other users have created, pulsing in rhythm to music played on your device, or pulsating to mic inputs on your device.     • Good, but not great...
I bought my Hush about a month ago. I've used it maybe a dozen times. I have the following comments about it: Pros: As just a butt plug, it's really nice. I bought the 1.75" version and for me it's perfect. It goes in without much trouble and stays put while it's in there. The vibrations are the best of any butt plug I have tried. It's also very easy to clean. I tested this with some help from a friend and the remote control feature is easy to set up and use. Cons: I've had some connectivity issues. The unit will be fully charged, my phone will be right next to me and sometimes it fails to connect. Maybe it's the steel plate in my ass from the war but I think that it should connect from two feet away. While the vibrations are the best of all my toys, they still are not good enough, it left me wanting more. The app is okay, it gets the job done. As a side note, I kept it in for as long as I could tolerate it and that was about two hours. That's longer then any other butt plug I have but that's because the other ones kept coming out. I only bring this up because I fear that my Mistress would instruct me to wear this all day, and that would be very difficult. Overall still the best butt plug I own but because of the occasional connectivity issues and that is left me wanting stronger vibrations, I'm giving it four stars. ... show more
