I've been a fan of 'Lovely' for many years and sure wish we could find, and enjoy, the original version. I don't think I've ever had as many compliments, fragrance wise, as I did with early 'Lovely'. So, I thought I'd give the 'Sheer' version a go. I really like it! It's a wonderful, light fragrance for spring/summer. It is reminiscent of original 'Lovely,' but has a personality of its own. It also has impressive staying power for such a light scent. I had to take off one star because I have had serious problems with the spray nozzel. It won't spray! It just drizzles and runs down the side of the bottle. It was too much of a hassle to return, so I just collect and dab what I can, hoping it doesn't give out completely. I personally feel that those who have been fans of 'Lovely' will enjoy this version. I just hope they will get a functional spray nozzle. The best blind buy ever for me! I love this perfume, as well as the original lovely perfume! Lovely Sheer is a softer, cleaner, floral perfume that is simply lovely like its name. This one lacks the spiciness that the original lovely has but its signature scent or base is still similar and yet different in a special way. For me, lovely sheer is for day and "lovely" can be used for day and night, but I prefer it for night. I had smelled this on a magazine insert and fell in love with it then I got the real stuff and it is so much better. It doesn't smell strong or cloying like some perfumes. It is a wonderful soft fragrance that stays with you for a long time.
