Purchased this after we had a litter of kittens born so we could bring them out into the main areas of the house to get used to. We ended up having to use it to quarantine 2 of them after they got deathly sick with a very contagious virus. They ended up spending almost 6 weeks in this thing, but it ended up working out very well. Just big enough to not make them feel cramped, and be able to fit a bed, food, water, and a small litter box, yet small enough to not encourage them to be too rambunctious while they were sick and recovering. The mesh sides are quite tough and able to resist sharp kitten nails, and having both a side entrance and a top entrance was a huge plus too; easier to prevent them from trying to get out when you use the top. Pretty easy to clean too; the bottom wipes clean (with some kind of liquid cleaner) without too much effort. It also collapses quite small and flat for easy storage. It could stand to be a little bit more sturdy. Enough weight on one of the sides (like from a kitten climbing up the side), can sometimes make that side collapse inward. But other than that, it serves its purpose quite well. ... show more

We’re going to be fostering two small kittens and this is the perfect size. It opens and closes easily and has handy top and side zippers. It will also allow our cats to get acquainted with the kittens while affording the little ones some protection. Very good value and fast shipping.

Photo makes it look really big but it was a great size for our little yorkie poo. She’s about 10lbs and not very tall. Love that you can unzip the top or side. Only downside is there’s not a way to secure it to the ground. Some loops and stakes would be perfect. She tried her hardest to get out and ended up flipping it on the side and running around in it like a hamster wheel! Had to put a big rock inside to weigh it down lol. The material on the bottom doesn’t seem very sturdy and I think may tear sooner than later but we will bring a blanket to put down next time. Love that it folds up very flat and comes with a carry bag. Also so light that it’s not a burden to carry like some crates! ... show more

This worked great for my new baby felines after bringing them home. It gives them a place to feel secure in a new environment and is helpful in training them as to when bedtime is. I’m very disappointed. I was so excited when my item arrived and it took literally one day for it to break. My dog is very nervous with the sound of fireworks. I live in a neighborhood where neighbors simply don’t respect and every night they do fireworks and cherry bombs. This happened just now. My poor dog was so scared she tried breaking through the cage and with ease she ripped it. In pictures it looks nice and sturdy. But in reality is very cheap material. I have a 10 lb poodle and we just spent 20 days traveling. Many places didn't allow dogs (my baby is cleaner than most people's kids), but the playpen gave me a place to put her where she could see me and not be alone. It was perfect for leaving her in the hotel room for a little while. Kept her from chasing my sister-in-law's cats, and kept her from interacting with the huge playful goldendoodles.
