I put my two little puppies in this and they kept chewing on the fold up zipper screen. It wasn’t durable enough for them. It was a good idea and really cute! It would work well for a small dog or elderly dog as a traveling bed in a motel or visiting somewhere. We originally only bought a small one for our senior dog because she treats her crate like a den and it’s a lot easier to move around the house than a metal crate. Then our puppy became absolutely obsessed with it now she also has one (size medium) and they both love them. They are roomy and sturdy. They will be so convenient to travel with because of how small they fold down. The only down side we experienced is that our puppy is teething and she wants to chew on the mesh windows. So I wouldn’t suggest using it for unsupervised confinement if you have a chewer just in case. But so far she hasn’t been able to damage it so it’s definitely built well. ... show more

We have an 8 week old pup and thought we'd give him a little more room in this playpen than in his hard side kennel. In general this playpen does what it's designed for pretty well. It folds and unfolds very easily, is lightweight and much easier to transport than a metal wire kennel or one of the tote crates. However it truly has to be used as just a playpen, meaning the zippered door left open and rolled up. After just a few hours over a couple days our pup clawed holes through the thicker fabric advertised as 600D quality. When we leave it open for him to come and go it's just fine, but otherwise it won't hold up to a dog that wants to get out. Another thing to watch out for is while this playpen is easy to setup, it's also easy to collapse. Our pup had one side folded in on himself and the only thing that prevented the other sides from folding in was the large padded bed we had in the bottom of the playpen. Overall a good value for a portable, supervised play space, but not a good substitute for a longer-stay kennel. ... show more

    • Ended up being a lifesaver

Purchased this after we had a litter of kittens born so we could bring them out into the main areas of the house to get used to. We ended up having to use it to quarantine 2 of them after they got deathly sick with a very contagious virus. They ended up spending almost 6 weeks in this thing, but it ended up working out very well. Just big enough to not make them feel cramped, and be able to fit a bed, food, water, and a small litter box, yet small enough to not encourage them to be too rambunctious while they were sick and recovering. The mesh sides are quite tough and able to resist sharp kitten nails, and having both a side entrance and a top entrance was a huge plus too; easier to prevent them from trying to get out when you use the top. Pretty easy to clean too; the bottom wipes clean (with some kind of liquid cleaner) without too much effort. It also collapses quite small and flat for easy storage. It could stand to be a little bit more sturdy. Enough weight on one of the sides (like from a kitten climbing up the side), can sometimes make that side collapse inward. But other than that, it serves its purpose quite well. ... show more

    • Keeps the dog inside. Good size for a toy poodle

This worked well for my toy poodle after surgery on his leg he needed to be kept from jumping on things when I was not home. I zipped him into this tent and he had plenty of room to move around but no fear of getting out or damaging his leg because it was soft and no metal. He is 10 lbs

I like the size, the ease of the opening. I agree with others about the zippers. They don’t seem very durable. My complaint is how the sides can collapse too easily. Overall I like the product but I feel my pup, who is 4 lbs is going to strong for it.
