  • Pricey but makes wonderful grain free Candy
Flavor Name: Cinnamon
I made hot cinnamon and cinnamon discs as I cannot find even one candy maker who doesn't add corn gluten aka xanthum gum, cornstarch or some other derivative of that type of gluten in their candy. I used a capful for small batches of 1:1 sugar and water and it was very tasty- but most people won't use that much. I think it is pricey and perhaps will find another brand, but for my first time I think it was well worth it for this candy as I don't think an extract would have been as strong as the candy is so hot and the alcohol in the extract would have dissapated too quickly. I did have to stand back once I added it as the smell was so intense. ... show more

  • This is what you want for pizzelles. Perfect flavor.
Flavor Name: Anise
I always wondered why my pizzelles never tasted as flavorful as the ones I ate growing up, even when I used several times the amount of anise extract in them. The answer was to switch to anise oil instead of extract, as others have mentioned. And for my taste at least, this brand has the perfect flavor. I've been using it for several years now, and the flavor has been spot-on each batch. It's more expensive than extract, but you also use less. And get way better and more consistent taste. I've also used it in a few other baked cookies, even when the recipe calls for extract, and been very happy each time. ... show more

  • S-STRONK!!
Flavor Name: Cherry
WOOWEE!! That extra strength mentioning IS NO JOKE!🤣 The first time I used this extract, I went to GENTLY pour in a capful, but a lot more ended up trickling out the bottle mouth, down its side and into the beverage I wanted to try it in. Like, a LOT more 🤣 It smelled great, but the taste was bitter and peppery. I had to continuously add milk to it for the taste to somewhat even out a little. My second time trying the extract, I was aware of how unforgiving tilting the bottle without vigor was, and managed to get a good capful to put in my drink. The results were about the same, but less peppery, which made sense. There wasn’t much cherry flavor, but it smelled nice🤣 Welp, all in all, curiosity fulfilled. Will need to try putting the extract in baked goods, next to see if that will make for a more potent cherry-ness result. ... show more

  • Crystalization is okay!
Flavor Name: Anise
Like others have complained, my bottle arrived crystallized. In the description, it says that it WILL crystalize below 58°f and to put the bottle in hot water to make it liquid again. I didn't bother with the hot water and just gently rolled it between my hands until the crystal dissolved. It's fine now and tastes awesome! I wish that folks would read the whole description before wailing that they can't use the product! all those reviews regarding leaking bottles/broken seals, though -- THAT shouldn't be happening!! ... show more

  • Not good for making soap- good for lip balm
Flavor Name: Vanilla
The vanilla has very strong flavor. Works great for making lip balm, however, if making soap, it’s very fast acting and seized the soap mixture up.
