The media could not be loaded. Well this is a tricky one. There's pros and cons to this costume. But rather than passing judgement on it, I'll just write out my experience, and let you decide. First off, the packaging was very "generic" looking, without even a name brand on it. Literally just a description of the costume and a photo. Open that up, and there's the costume itself and the fan / battery box combo. The instructions for installation are printed on the back side of the label, in Chinese (yes, the fan unit is incredibly easy to install, but better instructions would be nice for a first-time user). So I got the fan installed, and looked over the costume itself. Full attached "gloves" AND wrist grommets, which is a good feature to have. Odd waist grommet putting the legs in a almost completely separate compartment. Now I see why other reviewers complained about that being a bit of a squeeze. And of course ankle grommets. One "plus" is the elastic band across the "feet" of the costume. That is a feature I'd love to see more manufacturers add. The elastic keeps the "feet" of the costume secure on your shoes! Another "plus" is the eye screens. Placement is very good (I'm 5'6", and they were almost in line with my eyes), and the mesh they have on the inside of the lightly tinted plastic of the eyes is very good. One "minus" to this costume is the lack of elastic in the "battery pocket." Between that, and the odd placement of the pocket (literally in the "armpit" of the costume) your battery pack will easily fall out and rattle around in the costume with you. Another "minus" is the material of the costume itself. I know they say it's polyester, but if it is, it's some of the thinnest polyester I've seen. Honestly, it feels and acts more like Tyvek than polyester. A third "minus" is the very unusual placement of the arms of the costume. To wear it properly, you *have* to keep your arms extended fully out, at a 45 degree angle from your sides. And even then, the armpits of the costume fall halfway between wrist and elbow. Not the most comfortable positioning to be sure. Even with that, the sleeves are quite long (you could say roomy, even). So after all that, I hooked up my trusty USB battery bank to it (I always use a battery bank when testing these costumes, but you can use the included 4 AA battery box instead) and proceeded to get photos, and do my little test walk don my street. It took almost 2 minutes to fully inflate (most costumes inflate in less than a minute) and the fan is incredibly loud and rattly (could just be a bad fan in mine, I'll try swapping it out with another one later). Once it's fully inflated, it is a LARGE costume. VERY wide, so take care going down hallways and through doorways! Walking in this one is much easier than most costumes since your legs are almost completely free. That's another "plus" in my book. Moving your arms though, not so much. Especially waving at passersby. So that's a "minus" that cancels out the last "plus," unfortunately. Overall, I'm still undecided on this one. It it a unique costume? Yes, definitely. Do I enjoy having it in my collection? Yes. Will I wear it often? Not unless it's a very specific occasion, no. Given what I know now of it, would I buy it? That I'm still undecided on. Best I can say is if you have a very specific need for it, then buy it. But pick up an extra fan unit, just in case. ... show more

The eye placement is okay but the whole design of the costume makes it really awkward to wear. I get that it's a costume and being inflatable makes it awkward to begin with but I feel like it could've been designed better. The fan thing is in the armpit and it kept falling out. It was just a big pain in the butt. Now I will say that if all you need this for is to stand in one place and wave at people, it's probably ok. But it's difficult to move in. ... show more

I ordered this to wear at my school for student drop off and the kids think it’s hilarious. It fits me perfectly but I’m a little on the short side at 5”4. It’s really easy to set up, just put some parties in and attach the blower to the costume. It inflates pretty fast and although it’s a little hot inside you do have some good air flow because of the size of the start and the blower. It is a little hard to see out of, it’s good to have a handler with you to avoid obstacles. ... show more

This is a really cute design and I like the way the star costume looks. Putting it on wasn’t too difficult as there are zipper pulls on the inside and outside. The eyes are see through and I didn’t have an issue with viewing my surroundings using them (I’m 5’4” and the eyes lined up fine for me to see out of). The fan attachment was easy to install in the designated hole on the back of the costume; it doesn’t take long to inflate either. Once it’s completely inflated, the star takes up quite a bit of room. This may cause an issue when trying to sit or if in a crowded location. The other thing I had a hard time with was the location of the arms. In order to keep your arms “outside” of the star in the attached sleeves / gloves, you must hold your arms out away from you. It would be very difficult to do this for long periods of time. I ended up pulling my arms inside the star to give them a rest after a few minutes. I do think it’s a novel design and I like the star character, it just takes some care and room to wear and I wish there was a slightly different way to place the arms to avoid fatigue. ... show more

I can't get enough of these inflatable costumes. Every time I see someone in one, I can't help but smile. This costume blows up quickly with just 4 AA bateries. It is really easy to get in and out of and seems to be made of durable material. I think this would be great for anyone going to an outdoor party or for trick or treating. It's puffy enough that you can layer clothing underneath without taking away from the costume. HIghly recommend this on if you want to be the "Star" of the show!! ... show more
