  • It works, but there are compromises.
Style: Surround Pattern: Headset
Before I start this, know where I'm coming from. I had a pair of G430's for 5+ years. The USB dongle had great 3D sound, but the volume was nerfed into the ground. When using them via 3.5mm jack though, they were phenomenal for what they were. Over time the ear padding fell apart, but the real reason I gave them up was to upgrade and give the G430's to my daughter. I loved that headset. In my pursuit of better sound I bought a HyperX Cloud Alpha and used them for a year. They sounded amazing (that bass!) and were very comfortable. But it had one major flaw; crosstalk. Everyone could hear my games and it progressed so much it was like I was broadcasting my audio. My ancient all-metal desk isn't compatible with a boom mic (solid backplate) so I was back in the market for a cheap headset. So in come these G432's. How do they compare? Underwhelming. The bass is acceptable but not great. The treble is atrocious and ear piercing. Both issues can be fixed my severely tweaking the EQ settings but the out-of-box sound isn't even close to good. The USB dongle is every bit as quiet as my old G430 USB dongle; 100% feels like ~60%. If you got nothing else or a bad sound card; it will work though. The microphone? Perfect, zero issues! The comfort? Awful. The pleather coating on the ear pads traps heat and your ears will sweat. The foam, rock hard. You'll need to smash them before wearing them to get any give. Also, the lack of a braided cable makes the headset feel overly cheap (the G430's had a braided cable). Overall, big downgrade from 2 generations ago. Its a solid headset if you get the EQ settings right. But considering the G430's were cheaper, sounded better, more comfortable, and had a tangle-free braided cable... these really miss the mark. But they don't have crosstalk and that's why I'm keeping them. ... show more

  • Need audio extensions for more base. But so worth the price.
Style: Surround Pattern: Headset
So, to start out with, I purchased this pair because my PlayStation platinum headset broke completely. I mean, like the ear pieces were falling off after having it for nearly five years. The g432 are actually really comfortable. I have a really small head and have to have it the tightest it can go for it to sit correctly on it. This causes strain on my head and I’d be sore for an hour or so after I take them off and not to mention the headaches. This pair gives me no such problem. Perfect for my small head. Now onto sound. The sounds is okay at best. With some free audio extensions, it sounds a whole lot better. I mostly play ffxiv and am a sucker for the music. So the free audio extensions you can find online are great. On some of the games where the static kicks in, it’s because of certain audio stereos in the ghub server need to be turned off. It was one of the left ones cause it kept making a buzzing noise but with only certain games. For the mic, I really like the fact that when I’m eating I can just flip it up. (Or my cat can do it when she’s insisting on head butting me in the face when she starts her constant neediness.) but the mic also for the price sounds great. First time I got it my friends on discord all stated they could finally hear me and what I’m saying. Highly needed for end content raids/dungeons for destiny 2 as well as ffxiv. Would I pay 30-40 bucks for the same pair again? Absolutely. I’ve had these for almost two years and not a single breakage on the plastic parts, but the cushion for the top of the head piece has worn down a little over time. Which I can’t complain about because I use my computer almost daily and to say that is the only thing that has had wear and tear is remarkable. Thanks for reading my review. ... show more

  • Love your old G430? Get the G432.
Style: Surround Pattern: Headset
TL;DR- Headphones good. Better sound. More comfort. Minus one star for lack of headphone/mic control on wire (that's a personal preference though). A great buy, if you don't mind being tethered. Full write-up, AKA "may-as-well-be-a-blog-post": I'd been using the Logitech G430 headset (discontinued) for the past 9 years or so, until the 2nd one I owned started giving out. This headset is, in many ways, the same device as the Logitech G430. The only difference is the ear cup padding, the absence of volume/headphone controls on the wire, and the wire itself being a rubber-coated wire like any other USB device (rather than the striking blue woven wire sheathing of the G430) that is a bit shorter than the G430's as well. Shorter wire is a good thing- the 430 was overkill with 10 feet of cord, while the 432 is just about right for most setups at 6 feet. The absence of the cloth ear cushions and blue sheathing on the wire means this shouldn't get quite as dirty or dull as quickly, and it'll be easier to clean if it does. The new cushions are a little stiffer, which means that the headset will feel tighter at first than a G430. After a few days, you don't notice. Sound quality is slightly better than the G430 as the new ear cup cushions has better noise-cancelling qualities than the old woven ones AND the surround sound channels (which need to be activated through the G-HUB program that Logitech loves to use for every device they make) have been slightly reworked for a more spatially precise audio experience. ... show more

  • Good headset for gaming
Style: Surround Pattern: Headset
These headphones I have been using for a couple months are pretty nice they have good sound quality surround sound noise cancelling the mic is as good as my old one the headset I had before was good but was having hardware issues for some reason I couldn’t hear out of my left ear half the time and this new solved the problem and the comfort on my old one is not even worth comparing to this new one it was such a weird texture for my old one and was really annoying getting used to and this new one is so comfortable would recommend FOR GAMING ONLY ... show more

  • Ideal For Gaming
Style: Surround Pattern: Headset
This headset is amazing. Definitely worth the money, but I managed to get it while it was discounted so that made it even more of a great purchase. Sound quality is top notch & noise cancellation is perfect so far. I don't think it would be a let down for mildly to moderately noisey environments. I have not been in an insanely noisey environment to test out that feature. Quite comfortable, no complaints. ... show more
