I played for the last 8 hours today on this headset and I am blown away. This is the BEST headset I have ever used. I used the old A40’s for over 10 years. They were a beast of a headset and put me ahead of the competition for years. The only problem was that it was wired. The cord would frey over time and eventually screwed up the mixamp after too many rage induced drops. I decided to get the audio sync only as I have little to no desire to pull up the video at the same time as the audio every time. I tend to play the devices one at a time with no need to switch my HDMI along with it. If needed I can switch it by hand. The headset charged very quickly and was easy to understand out of the box. Watching a YouTube video on the set up might help if you have any questions. The a50s are extremely comfortable and somehow light while retaining their solid feel. The mic quality is unbelievable, you could stream with how good it is. Seriously! Even though they don’t have noise canceling, I cannot head an outside sound while they are on my head. Bluetooth is great and the controls on the side of the headset are a little strange but it only took me a few hours to get used to them. (Such as to mute the microphone you just push it up). The sound quality is amazing for both music and games especially, you can hear footsteps from so far away. I love the Bluetooth feature as well, it’s just such a great headset. If you have the money I’d pull the trigger. If you really need to switch your monitor at the touch of a button get the PLAYSYNC + Audio version. But for me the audio version is perfect. The only problem I have is the Astro command center app for PC but that’s a different matter entirely. ... show more

Pro: Comfort earpad, doesn't pressure against your skull and doesn't cause discomfort when wearing a glasses. Impressive wifi range and penetration, doesn't produce sound crack or loud noise when out of the range. Very good sound quality and boost, hear slightly better than SteelSeries arctis pro nova wireless in gaming. Con: Short battery life comparing to SteelSeries arctis pro nova without even mentioning the fact that Arctis has 2 batteries. Need daily recharge. No noise cancelling AT ALL, this is a tradeoff for having more comfort earpad and less sound distortion (active noise cancelling may lower sound quality). Think twice if you lives in a noise environment or sitting beside a loud pc. This model is 100% better than Astro A50X (the extra feature in A50X really doesn't mean a lot but spikes the price) ... show more

Honestly, I do not use them to their full potential. They are supposed to be able to switch between devices seamlessly. I really only use it on my xbox but these things are great. Sound great, mic quality is good too. I also love how the mic arm rotates up to mute. I used to always forget if I was muted and go several minutes before I realize nobody could hear me. This never happens any more. Battery life is good, but also never have issues because I just throw them on the dock when I am done using them. ... show more
