Thank you Airwing for the speedy delivery; was recieved earlier than the shipping window originally projected. These latches are awesome! Solid metal construction and very nice paint for weather protection. Went on in about ten minutes total and work perfectly on my two-up Tour-Pak. They came as advertised with locks built into each side and two keys for each side and although the keys have different numbers on them the keys are interchangeable (all keys work both locks) so only need to carry one key. Only observation I have to offer others is that the lock winds up at the top of the latch when the latch is turned into place and it is right alongside the side plate of the mounting rack. This requires you to reach through the hole in the sideplate to insert the key to unlock it. The key requires very minimal turning to get the lock to pop up but I can see someone with large mitts possiably having a hard time getting it unlocked (best to try unlocking it a few times while OFF the bike first!). I will feel much more secure while travelling that I won't come out of a restaurant or hotel and find the entire Tour-Pak gone!! I highly reccomend these latches. ... show more

I have never had a reason to worry about anything being stolen off of my motorcycle and I honestly don’t think I do now. At least not from other bikers/motorcycle enthusiasts. However, there is always a possibility that someone may want to try to sell something they can get off the back of a motorcycle. This lock is perfect. Easy to install and easy to operate. The two locks and two keys you get are great. Both locks were keyed the same so I can throw one lock on mine and the other on my wife’s or buddies bike. Great product. Thanks. ... show more

They seem to work well but tough to get the right angle to unlock underneath a tour pack. It can be done but I have to almost hold the barrel key at a ninety degree angle between index and middle finger. I’m also a little concerned about corrosion and what happens if I can’t get ‘em unlocked for removal. ... show more

As others have mentioned. These won’t keep your item from walking away if someone really wants it, but nothing would keep my entire bike from doing the same What it does do is prevent it from walking away easily If you are parked in a somewhat busy traffic area or even where dozens of other bikes are then someone could take your item if unlocked without drawing too much attention but if they need to work at it a little bit then that might cause enough concern for someone to question what is going on Also others have mentioned it doesn’t fit right. Or rattles Look at the pegs on your docking bracket, they can be reversed ( take off and flip them around, just the peg )as well as turned to adjust the fit as they are or at least I read that they are not evenly round which would make sense so you can adjust the fitment that way as well I bought a two pack. One for my backrest and one for the tour pack ... show more

    • Modifications needed
These are functional and give me a small sense of security. Like others have said it’s to keep honest people honest. It will take a few seconds more effort for a thief to walk away with my luggage rack and sissy bar and that’s about it. I had to “greatly” modify the key to use the locking feature. Be aware that the latch sits flush against the mount, exactly like the latch you are replacing. On my install I had no way to insert the key into the lock. I had to remove the plastic grip tab from the key, cut away about 3/16 of an inch from a corner of the key, and bend the top part of the key to about a 35 degree angle before I could unlock the latch. Since I am using one locking latch on my luggage rack and one on my sissy bar, I had to do the same modifications to a second key, bending the angle opposite from the other for it to work. I also had to use a different washer set up than was supplied because the supplied screw head was smaller than washers supplied with the kit. All in all I’m satisfied with my purchase only because I don’t have the machinery to forge my own locking latches and that I was able to modify their product to work with my install. ... show more

    • These did not fit!
I bought these for my Harley Davidson tour pack. They didn't fit and actually broke when I tried to latch them. I am hoping I get a refund. I sent them back same day. Waste of time and money.

    • simple to operate, secures my tourpack
I got this to secure my tourpack when traveling. Pretty easy to install and easy to operate. A bargain at the price. It includes 4 keys so keeping a spare is easier.
