Every time someone else puts it on or takes it off it seems to rip. I am super careful and it works ok for me. The good news is it is inexpensive, and the customer service is great. They have refunded or replaced my purchases, and the current one is working nicely. When it is not ripping it works fine. cover feels really thin. I just installed it ,so I don't know about waterproof yet. very easy to install, zipper is useless being in the front, it needs to be on the side so you could get in and out if needed.
