So, I'm lucky I work a 3rd shift job that allows me to use my Legion 5 gaming laptop for hours a night. As you can see, it is small enough to put into a book bag and take it with me. There are really only two choices if you want proper cooling of a gaming laptop, and thats either the llano or the iets gt500/600. I actually purchased the 500 and 600 but both were too large to bring with me on a regular basis. With the llano it is the perfect size for my 16in gaming laptop, and the cooler is small enough to travel to work as well. I have been using it for a few months now, and I love it. The fan can get a little loud, but I keep the fan around 1100 rpm, and it's quieter then my laptop fans on full blast. The llano keeps also keeps my temps while gaming under 70c on average, on both the cpu and gpu. Without it, the laptop averages around 80c. Which, for a gaming laptop, is still good temperatures. If I crank the fan to max rpms it keeps it around 65/60c while running prime95 which is amazing. While gaming temps never saw above 55c when it is running at max rpms. But, sadly, the fan is too loud at this speed unless I have headphones on. But because of my job, I simply cannot do that. So 1100 is a good sound to performance ratio. The lights are nice, I suppose, plenty of choices, and the build quality is solid. Yes, it's expensive, but if you are like me, and want to make sure your laptop lasts, I consider either the llano or iets coolers a must buy. Or, if your laptop is getting into the 90/100c while gaming because either your fans are dieing or thermal paste is drying up, this will extend the life span even further. I don't know what else needs to be said. Tldr; if you need PROPER cooling for your laptop, and your laptop has bottom ventilation (which is required) this will do it justice. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. extremely thorough review! I uploaded pictures DURING max CPU/GPU benchtest to prove that this is the most efficient laptop cooler. Programs HWINFO (temps) and Cinebench r23(max out computer w/ bench test performance) undervolted with INTEL XTU AND ARMOURY CRATE 140/160 PL1 AND PL2. This laptop cooler is amazing and keeping my attempts down to 44° C in Turbo mode idling. During benchmark it keeps my CPU temperatures down to the low 70° C's. I did replace the liquid metal inside this laptop for the CPU GPU die's. Before I was getting 84° C with 98° peaks. Now I don't get peaks at all and it's helped reduce throttling. Overall this is amazing airflow, It has a solid thickness and is not cheap feeling The plastic is thick and not flimsy, It has extreme great functionality as it holds my laptop in place with the clips and the clips in the back to elevate it are very nice and firm and do not fall like the other laptop coolers. This is extremely great comfort as I type on this thing It is very easy. Has it extremely dense thick foam border that is thick and a thick bottom. Bought this for my fiance who's laptop was over heating even after we thoroughly cleaned fans: it works REALLY well and significantly cools my fiance's laptop. The airflow is adjustable and very powerful (you can feel the air blowing up through the gaps in the laptop's case), can be a bit loud at times, but that is a very minor thing that comes with having that powerful of fans. The black body and rbg lights look really nice, and my fiance finds it to be very comfortable to use through multi hour gaming sessions with friends and family. Incredibly sturdy, and not to thick or bulky as to become inconvenient and uncomfortable. We had it recommended off of YouTube (we were already tentatively looking for one and someone we follow (Salem Techsperts) put out a video honest reviewing it and sold us on it) ... show more

I have an Asus gaming laptop that is well cleaned and repasted but being a gaming laptop it has high temps at 90 in performance mode. Although this is an expected temp for such a laptop, I didnt feel comfortable with it being so hot all the time for hundreds of hours of gaming sessions. Bought this instead of the iets gt600 because frankly, it was not in the market at the time and oh boy, it was the best decision ever for my laptop. What used to be 90 degrees of temps has now dropped to 70-75 degrees at 1200RPMs. If i ramped it upto 2800, i can get upto 67 but the noise level is too high and frankly, annoying at those levels. You should only use this cooler at upto 1200RPM because its a good balance of temps and noise level (with headphones). Highly recommend if you want to increase the longevity of your gaming laptop or for old laptops that get too hot. Do try repasting and cleaning the fans out every two years too. Pros: - 90 Degrees Temp cooled to 75 Degrees at 1200RPM. - Sealed cooling. - Prolonged use case - Adjustable slider and button for fan speed and lights. - Dust filter included for intake. - Height adjustable - RGBs of course :) Cons: - Noise is very high at max setting ... show more

It is extremely noisy but really supports the laptop cooling system greatly. I have a $7k+ laptop and I rely on this device to augment the built-in system which is apparently inadequate for cooling when doing high-end gaming with the 4090 card OCed.

This has made a dramatic difference in how often the fans on the laptop come on while gaming also having a filter on the bottom to make sure dust doesn’t get into the laptop when the fans are on is another big benefit. The foam ring that helps keep the air directed into the laptop also really helps compared to my previous cooler that had no foam ring and was a lot less powerful. This one is much better than I would’ve ever thought. The build quality on it definitely feels good for the price and the fan is insanely powerful for a laptop cooler. Usually for gaming, I will use this cooler at 1000 or 1500 RPM and that is the sweet spot for me because it’s not too loud but it also keeps the laptop cool. Would definitely recommend. ... show more
