  • Dang good.
Color: Black style: Non-Wireless
Bought for amp modeling and basic effects, met all criteria I was seeking. Previously had a Boss Me70 which was great for learning effects and access to instant gratification with a flip of a dial, but was lacking the amp sounds I wanted as I grew as musician. This unit met those needs and is relatively easy to figure out (after a few YouTube videos). Has built in presets that are decent (sample sounds replicating famous styles or songs), with a few gems that I like which I keep going back to for quick jams. I have created a few own presets, one which I really love as it has THAT sound I've been looking for...that elusive "my sound" guitarists seek out. As it is saved as a preset, I just click to it and I have my sound, that easy. I know there is a lot that I can do that with the unit that I have not done...setting snapshots, etc, but I knew that if I was able to get a few basic profiles setup that had the sound and feel I was looking for, I'd be content. It can get you the tube sound, the impulse response that people talk about these days. For a basement jammer like me, I did not want to buy a tube amp that would 1. Be heavy 2. Be expensive 3. Be loud 4. Require an attenuator (Ox box) to get the right feel and sound. This has the modeling which is decent enough and close enough that I'm satisfied that I don't need to bother with amp shopping anymore. I can dial in the trinity of Marshall, Vox, Fender as well as a bunch of other vintage, modern and boutique amps, along with multitude of cabinets, etc. I have the Line6 Pod Go plugged left and right into 2 amps...my primary (around $800 Quilter Aviator) and a $200 Flat Response amp I bought originally for keyboard and electric drums. Sounds is amazing especially with reverb and delay. I've used the USB to go to PC, which gives a lot of control as you tweak ("dial in") your sounds, but is not 100% necessary once you get the gist of the interface. I'd still like to have seen a longer looper effect but will probably add that to my "next buy" list. Not critical, my backup sounds typically come from YouTube anyhow. I think for the price you pay, assuming you already have a halfway decent amp (or two!), is quite a bargain. Saves me time and $ from chasing the elusive "Tube Dream" I though I needed. Sounds dang good. And for me "dang good" works just fine. ... show more

  • Again Only The Best From Line 6
Color: Black style: Non-Wireless
I was hesitant at best trying the Pod Go but it's the Quality of Helix all around just lacking some of the bones of the Helix but not when it comes to the sound. That's where I love this pedal. I bought a Helix rack when it came out and was disappointed for the cost. Axe FX had it bested in my opinion it was difficult to use and lacked what I was looking for tone wise and time it took trying to get it was insane. This is where the Pod Go earned Line 6 name back for me. What the Helix couldn't do the Pod go Has given me times ten. Headroom is perfect the additional amps cabs and pedals took it over the top of the Helix for me. This was what I wanted before and thought I would have to buy Axe FX 3 or Neural DSP to get my tone I wanted and needed in studio. Not the case the Pod Go delivers and it does with ease it's easy to config out the box took me minutes to build my presets that's the only negative for me the factory presets there was only one I intended to actually use so out of the box be ready to make your presets but it's easy and tons of fun to do opens doors of possible sounds and worth the little effort it takes the Horizon drive Heirloom and Dhyna overdrive wow wow wow and the Revv amps yeah this thing is awesome Line 6 knocked it out the park with this one move over Helix the Pod is back for another round but ready to perform as only a Line 6 product can do at this price!!! ... show more

  • Just the right amount of features for the keen amateur and pro who likes things simple
Color: Black style: Non-Wireless
Pros, Great for beginner and intermediate players and would do great service for pro’s who want to keep it simple. -solid build quality -great price for the features - really easy to use - can integrate my existing pedal board into the signal chain if I want. (I love my tube amps and pedals) Cons Just one - midi In for jamming along silent practice is a PITA with iOS. The main volume switch controls the input from that and the headset output volume. The use of the camera adapter kit on the iOS device disables the volume control on your phone/iPad so you get VERY LOUD to the point it drowns the guitar or damages your ears. Accessibility touch controls on the phone do not resolve the issue either. There is a workaround in global settings to drop the USB input to 1/2 which then allows you to roll down the decibels on that channel. I’ve found -14db works for me so far. But it’s a faff. Would be nice to have a separate volume controller, but I suppose at the price point one cannot have everything. ... show more

  • I've always used Line 6, and this is a must upgrade
Color: Black style: Wireless
I love this pedal. I had the Pod XT Live before, and this is a major update. The effects are great! I give it a five-star, though the software doesn't have a search option, and you have to look into the Line6 database to know which amp or pedal is emulating.

  • Great amp tone, fair selection of other effects
Color: Black style: Non-Wireless
POD Go delivers good value. It has more amp simulations than I need and some of them are spectacular. You will feel the limitations of this lower-cost cousin of the Stomp, however, if your sound requires more complex signal chains and layered stompboxes. You don't get to split the signal chain and you might find you can't add the effect you want because you're overtaxed on system overhead. Still, if you're looking for a simulation of most players' actual rigs, you've got everything you need. Signal in over here, volume, wah, effect, effect, amp, cab, effect, effect, out (to PA, FRFR, or even an amp). I don't gig at all anymore but the POD Go definitely could. It's pretty rugged and unlike a typical DIY pedal board, it only needs one power supply, one in, and one out. No need to try to figure out which physical stomp got unplugged or broke in a live setting. ... show more
