Nicely made! Inside the cup are measurement lines for both cups and litres, ounces and ML . There is the slightest sort of 'pinch' that serves as a pouring spout. It will not be possible to level off measures of such as flour and sugar, for the measurement lines are down about 1/2-inch from the rim and are not visible on the outer surface of the cup. Thus this cup lends itself more to the measurement of liquids rather than dry measures.. To measure solid fats, you would employ the concept of displacement by floating small scoops in a liquid such as water until the level rises to the desired line. This cup will perform quite nicely in the kitchen, but it will also be something you might want to include in your camping gear, for it will double nicely as an unbreakable, light weight cup for beverages! ... show more

We have been using 4 cup glass measuring cup for years but have wanted a 2 cup. We would have to use a sharpy to replace the lines after they would wear off. The measurement incriments are stamped into the metal of this cup which was a main feature that lead to my purchase. At the time, it seemed kind of pricey for a measuring cup but considering how many glass replacements I have purchased over the years, it was actually a great deal. Only down side would be that it is not microwaveable for melting/softening butter and such. On the other hand, I can do it on the stove top where I couldn't with the glass one so it is really a wash. Wish I had found this years ago. ... show more

I love the stainless steel design. I wish it was a little heaftier but don’t believe the measuring cup to be flimsy. It is of very good quality. The permanently raised measuring lines are a great feature.

    • Just how exact do you need to be in order to grab a measuring cup?
Did not like the dip at the top in order to measure the two cups. It would be much better to be able to swipe across the top with a level.

I am still looking for a 2-cup measuring cup that can be leveled off with a knife. I assume it would be called a "dry measure" cup. This is not that cup. I read the answered question which inquired about that very feature, and I purchased this based on an answer that said it was. That answer is incorrect. This cup has a "2 Cup" marking about 1/2 inch below the top rim. If you fill it to the top and level off (as you would measuring flour or sugar), you will end up with about 2-1/2 cups! This is perfect. I needed a 2 cup measure to keep by the stove. I have a home made Berkey filter system and this will hang perfectly on the handles.
