I am a 55 year old woman and used this to move a 300lb washer/dryer combo by myself. W/D is in a tight space that just fits width-wise so not a lot of working room. It works ok on the rough ceramic tile and I was able to move it with some extra strength, but when I used the plastic strips (included), it was like ice. So smooth and easy but you may need to adjust the plastic strips as you move the item because the w/d moved but the strips did not, so I had to adjust the runners underneath to keep the easy slide going. Tips: 1) The blower is supposed to stay on while you're using it. I kept shutting it off after it was full and couldn't figure out why the air was leaking out. <insert duh here> 2) After you fill up the strips, rock it a little side to side to get it loose from the floor. ... show more

I just received this yesterday and used it today to move a 300 lb combination washer/dryer that is in an alcove with no more than 1/2" on each side. I'm relatively young and it nearly killed me when I first installed it. I needed to readjust the feet to level it out again after my foundation settled a bit, so I bought the Air Sled to try and save my sanity the second time moving it. The Air Sled met all my expectations. Out of the box you can tell from the packaging and fit and feel that it's a quality machine. The Air Sled easily lifted my machine up and I was able to slide it out with a good grip on the bottom of the machine. It wasn't effortless but it's as close as you could reasonably expect. It also makes adjusting the feet of the appliance really easy since it's lifted up in the air the whole time. It's expensive, but it absolutely works and I love it. One note is that the listing here has this as the adjustable speed version, but mine has a simple on/off switch, which is not something I care about, but maybe someone else does. ... show more

The quality of this item is very good. It has performed well for me but does struggle with items that are in the upper portion of the rated maximum load of 450 pounds. Due to friction on surfaces that are not completely smooth there is more force required to move items than I had expected. That said, I could still move the items without excessive strain. Air sled was helpful to move stove and fridge without damaging our refinished hardwood floors. It is a good product to prevent scratches and damage on wood floors, and it is easy to use. It’s definitely worth the investment!
