I got the 20 gallon aquarium. I was nervous that it would arrive damaged or broken, but the packaging was above and beyond. It was a large box with a smaller box inside, surrounded by packing peanuts. The inner box had the aquarium and even more packing peanuts! They actually made a huge disaster, if you have kids or dogs that might mistakenly put these in their mouth beware. However, the tank was in absolutely pristine condition, so it was worth the trouble. The tank itself has nice thick glass that seems high quality. It looks perfectly clear. I added a black vinyl background on mine and heavily planted it. It's gorgeous. This was the best price I found anywhere for a rimless larger aquarium! ... show more

I absolutely love this tank. Coming from $20-$30 cheap rimmed or plastic tanks, this is an enormous upgrade and it looks so, so nice. It's a centerpiece in my bedroom atop a really nice FATORRI bookshelf. Wanting something unique I made it a micro Tanganyikan cichlid tank with Multies, Julies, Cylindricus, and Lemon Cichlids. It's very long which gives larger more space to swim where they traditionally wouldn't be comfortable. The glass is thick and sturdy. I strongly recommend NICREW internal filters to go with this, I'm running two of their 10-20g filters on either side and it looks super clean with nothing poking out and keeps my admittedly overstocked tank nice and clean. I’ve had this tank since October 2022. It hasn’t leaked and is still looking good. I’m building my own 6ft aquarium stand with the goal of putting two of these 11g tanks side by side under a TV. I’ll be buying a 2nd in the coming weeks, so that’s the highest praise from me. Note: it did take 3 deliveries to receive one of these tanks that didn’t come shattered. Amazon sent replacements and was OK with me not sending back a box full of broken glass. So if you need this with a time constraint, you might want to shop locally or allow an extended period to receive an intact product. Update: I ordered a new supplemental aquarium from Lifeguard and it seems they’ve improved their packaging. It’s now double boxed with packing peanuts in between. See photo. Probably not bulletproof but better than shipments from a year ago. ... show more

The first one we ordered was a 5 gallon for my wife so she could have a small tank on her desk, later on I decided I wanted one on my shelf next to my desk so we got me the 10 gallon. We have had no issues at all, both came very well packaged, no flaws, no leaks, no chips or cracks... We are needing a bigger one now, so our thoughts are going towards getting a 15 gallon next. Bought this tank because it was the perfect size to fit on top of a short little bookshelf, we have in our living room. Value for $ was kind of crazy though, these rimless tanks are very expensive for the amount of water they hold, but hubby got it for me as a birthday gift. I was disappointed in its performance though; our dogs were wrestling near it after about 6 months into use and the next thing we knew this tank had a crack on the right front corner midway down and was leaking. I can patch it with some flex seal paste (holds water but truly ugly with a huge white patch right on the front), as I have done with other leaking tanks in the past, but that defeats the purpose of this being our planted "show" tank upstairs in the living room with our fancy corydoras, alien bettas and assortment of tetras. Went from this gorgeous thing tp strictly utilitarian with one little bump, probably from the dog's collar (she's quite a tall dog) coming in contact with the corner of this tank. The low-iron glass is more delicate than you would think if hit in the wrong way (it is now in my basement fish room awaiting repairs and my daughter's native tree frog terrarium is in its place. ... show more

I was highly nervous to order an aquarium online knowing that multiple people would be handling it throughout the mail. I finally got it in the mail and I couldn't believe how well packaged it was! Set it all up. Planted the gravel and plants - everything was looking great until I noticed water seeping out from the bottom. I hoped it was some spill over from filling up the tank… unfortunately the tank seals on the bottom Leak …. Losing about 1/2 of inch of water per day in a 20 gallon tank currently. Not sure if the leak will worsen so going to have to replace it after just one week. Huge inconvenience! ... show more

Great quality tank for the price. The glass us thick, yet clear. It has a soft foam padding on the bottom and the glue material is barely noticeable. Perfect for a beta tank or a shrimp tank.
