  • More craft masking tape than painter masking tape
Isn’t this the yummiest color for masking tape? This tape from Lichamp came in a delightfully delicious orange sorbet of a hue and I appreciated that each roll was individually shrink wrapped to limit intrusion of moisture that may affect the adhesion. Even the start of the tape has been sealed as a precaution. FYI that the tape will appear yellow and not as orange once unrolled. This was tested against three of the better brands of painters tape on the market, namely, the Frogtape in green, the 3M blue multi-surface #2090, and the IPG ProMask in blue. Both the IPG and the Frogtape by Shurtape is made in the United States. No country of origin is listed on the Lichamp craft tape but safe to assume from where. To be fair, the Lichamp tape is not stated as purely a painters tape. A better competitor perhaps would be the Frogtape in yellow instead of the green meant for more sensitive surfaces, but we didn’t have that. First impressions left is it does seem that the tackiness or adhesion strength as the yellow Lichamp is not as strong as the others but that may be an advantage in certain situations. It also looks to be on the thinner side compared to the others. If used for painting or caulking, it may be prudent to double up on the application but doing so will cost twice as much in material and cost, to net the same result in using one layer of Frogtape which is our current go-to favorite. In any case, the value certainly here with this amount of product relative to its price point but its performance and satisfaction could be dependent on its use. ... show more

  • Good tape, a bit too narrow
Tape adhesive is as expected, strong enough to hold, but will not leave residue on the surface. Even though the width was mentioned in the description, I didn't expect it to be this narrow, making it suitable to certain applications only.

  • Really Nice Painter's tape
This pack of yellow washi masking tape is a great value with 10 rolls included. The tape is made of non-crepe washi paper, which is durable and easy to tear. The low tack adhesive is easy to remove and reposition without leaving residue. The high-quality adhesive provides stable adhesion and resistance to temperature and moisture. This tape can be used on a variety of surfaces for various DIY projects like wall painting, decorating, crafts, labeling, and more. Overall, I would give this product a 4-star rating for its bulk value and versatile applications. ... show more

  • Feels and looks thinner than name brand painters tape
The media could not be loaded. What's great: - Economical Room for improvement: - Not as thick as name brand tape, if this matters to you Overall this tape has a moderate to weak adhesive that won't damage most surfaces that you stick it to, so you probably won't have to worry about peeling off paint from your walls if you stick this tape on it. But the feel of the tape is pretty thin--thinner than name brand painters tape that I've used. You can also see through it more (more sheer) than name brand tape. If you want to use this tape for masking while painting, I would recommend testing it with your paint to see if the paint bleeds through near the edges of the tape before working on an important project. Overall it might be a good more economical alternative to name brand painters masking tape. If you don't intend on using it for painting, and only want to tape up paper to walls, it would do just fine. ... show more

  • Great value for multi-purpose tape
I recently received this pack of yellow washi painters tape and have been really impressed with its versatility. Not only is it great for wall painting and crafts, but I've also used it for labeling and organizing containers. The bulk pack is a great value for the price and the tape is easy to handle and tear. I will definitely be using this tape for all sorts of projects in the future. ... show more

  • Thin, sturdy, and can be repositioned
I'm used to using the "big name" blue painter's tape, but it's pretty expensive. I've also had issues with removal if I leave the tape on for too long. So, I'm always open to trying a new brand. When I read that this was thin and good for crafting as well as painting, I thought I'd give it a try. This tape is VERY thin - but after trying it, I really liked it. It could be placed and if I was off a little, I could lift it back up and reposition it with no problem. It doesn't have any stretch, so if you're making a line and it starts to drift a little, you can't stretch it back into position - it will wrinkle and crease instead. So there were a couple of places where I creased it a little to get back on my line, and there were a few times when I pulled it up and repositioned it. We gave it a first try when doing some sanded caulk around a bathtub. It held up to the caulk, even with it being sanded and slightly abrasive. After caulking and leaving some drying time, it pulled back up easily. This is definitely a keeper! ... show more

  • Thin tape but works for painting not just craft
If you only paint your walls occasionally like most people then this set of ten should last you a long time. It works nicely for painting as well as for craft, even considering that it is thinner than the blue painter's tape. Without doing a side by side comparison, I can say that this has slightly lower adhesion as well. I honestly did not have any issues with using it in place of blue painter's tape though. It worked really well. Seems like good value but not sure if there is an option to order less than the set of ten rolls. ... show more

  • Perfect Masking Tape
This has all the features of 'regular' masking tape. I am not sure what 'washi' tape is but whatever it is it works. Easy to tear, leaves no residue. I use it for holding down drawings on a drafting board, among other things. It has worked just right anywhere I used it so far. I do not know what 'sheerness' means as it relates to masking tape, so I did not rate that. ... show more
