These seem to work great! Light scent. We use these for dance practice and day care. Will buy again as they are dual purpose. Once the scent is gone you have a scrunchie! Win win.

I bought these for the repel mosquito possibility. Our mosquitos have been swarming around my face. I thought why not give it a try. They smell really good fresh out of the bag. Essential oil smell but not overpowering. Says on bag has tea tree, lavender, geranium, peppermint, and geraniol. Made from
soft fabric. Pretty strong elastic. Was able to hold my long hair up in a messy bun. I have used the same one for several consecutive days and the elastic has stayed strong without stretching out. The claim of repel mosquitos I really couldn't see much of a difference. For the reason of repelling lice well I guess advice from a former retired school nurse is the education of not sharing hats, brushes, hairbands and scrunchies and other personal items goes a long way to help keep lice off your little girls hair. They are creatures of opportunity and if they have the opportunity to crawl on over onto your child they will. So just wearing the hair up is also a good way to try to prevent a child from getting lice. Will these help repel them? In theory, but the smell wore off after the first day of use so not sure how much of a repellant they would be for long. These scrunchies came in a bag of 5 for about $10, so that is about $2 per scrunchie comparable to most average scrunchies. I got yellow, white, lime green, and red. (Not pictured is the navy blue that I have in my hair). Hey mom if you think it might help deter lice then by all means give it a try. Speaking from my school nurse experience it is a nightmare to get all the nits pulled of the hair strands and cleaning all the home up if your child brings them home. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and that's the nit picking truth. I gave them a 4 star not as a negative they are a good scrunchie but to market as a lice/mosquito product I'm not convinced they are instant invisibility cloak everybody would want.

Who would have thought that this would work, it does! I love the scent of them. The colors are nice and vibrant. They don't have an overwhelming scent so my kids don't even mind using them. Plus we have noticed that they do help keep away mosquitos. I much prefer using these on my kids than other opt

Cute Way to Keep Lice Away

These scrunchies are cute and really keep lice away. It is something that kids will be able to use without a fuss, especially those with long hair and more prone to lice. There are also cute colors, which are solid, that can be used for adults as well.

I bought these yesterday. I recieved them today. I opened it and it smells just like the lice shampoo. I had to use the lice shampoo on my daughter today so I can confirm 10000% that it is the exact same smell. I don't want my daughter or I to go around smelling like lice shampoo. It smells so bad!!!
Immediately put in for a return as soon as I opened it. I didn't even take one out to try it.

Great item for some preventative measures against mosquitoes

I love these scrunchies! They are so cute and comfortable, and they really keep the bugs away. I used to get bitten by mosquitoes all the time, but not anymore. They smell nice too, like lavender and mint. I wear them every day, and I get so many compliments. They are perfect for summer, or any time
you want to protect your hair and scalp from lice and other pests.

Cute but not completely effective.

I tried these out a few times while I was outside in early fall. I’m prone to being attacked alive my mosquitos. These may have helped a little but won’t prevent all bites. I feel like my top half had fewer bites but my ankles and feet were still eat up.
