Almost all of the low reviews are due to broken glasses in the shipment. These are inexpensive (if you shop around online for these glasses prices generally start at $40 for a dozen plus $15 for shipping) glasses that are being shipped for FREE... Of course there are going to be some broken glasses. Couple of tips - if you need a dozen, order two. That way when one or more of the glasses arrives broken you will still have a dozen intact glasses and you can send back the broken ones and get a refund. Second, the glasses come with a little sticker on the bottom that is impossible to peel off. Don't even try. Just soak the bottom of the glass and sticker in plain water for 5 minutes and they slide right off. All of that being said these glasses are awesome. They are sturdy and are great for large gatherings or dinner parties. They aren't dainty flutes but they stand up to a lot of abuse (UPS/FedEx shipping aside) even in commercial applications. ... show more

Before I purchased these, I had never owned champagne flutes and had resorted to drinking champagne out of wine glasses...or even red plastic solo cups in a pinch. But since me and my friends do enjoy drinking champagne every now and then, I figured these would be a good purchase, and I was right! After looking at several different stemmed champagne flutes, I'm glad I decided on buying these because they are very substantial in make. They are sturdy and "thick" and easy to hold, and don't seem like they would break easily. The first time that I had friends over after buying these, we used them, and I received several compliments on how "unique" they are...being that they are stemless and unlike MOST champagne flutes. Affordable and looks great! Feels sturdy and because the glass isn’t thin and set is so adorable, I’m not anxious to use them like my other set of expensive champagne flutes I own. Within the holiday season, I’m sure packages are thrown about a bit more during shipping so a couple of them were broken upon arrival. Otherwise, I don’t believe casual use would have caused damage. Just comes in a plain brown box.... nice white elephant gift. Wouldn’t say it comes in a nice giftable box though. ... show more
