  • Exceptional display, especially at the price point
Size: 27 Inch Style: 144Hz
When I set out shopping for my secondary display (which was intended to function as a dedicated monitor hooked up to the EVGA RTX 3080 I was extraordinarily lucky to get my hands on not long after release. In this way, it would ideally need Nvidia-specific display rendering technology, but because my system was setup with dual GPUs, it also would ideally have robust support for AMD graphics too. Oh, I also wanted a display capable of 1440p resolution and 100+ Hz refresh rate. Needless to say this monitor checked all those boxes and then some! At the time I bought it perhaps two years ago it was much more expensive, but I think now that prices have come down, this monitor not only handles displaying a quality, vibrant picture with ease, but it does so fora fair price, too. Most people won't be using it as part of some complex dedicated VM setup, but honestly, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Steam's team along with games developers, gaming on Linux is a perfectly achievable endeavor as contrasted with ten or fifteen years ago. I've seen some folks saying the latest updates of Win 11 are more unstable than Linux, especially since it's trivial to find out if a game is Steam Deck Verified and therefore very likely to run fine on any distro (like SteamOS) built for gaming or by installing and configuring the appropriate tools yourself to make it happen. Anyways, Iove this monitor and would gladly buy more for other purposes if needed. ... show more

  • A great inexpensive gaming monitor
Size: 27 Inch Style: 144Hz
I purchased this to go with my old backup gaming PC which lives at my parents' home a few hours away. I needed something that worked with m old NVidia GTX 960 card. I wanted something on the larger side, with G-Sync, a Display Port, a faster refresh rate, and a resolution better than my ancient backup 1920 x 1080 monitor. Mostly I wanted something cheap, which is very difficult to find with my requirements! This nice LG monitor popped up in my filtered search on Amazon and it was such a great deal (especially on Black Friday) that I couldn't pass it up. It works great, with a nice refresh rate of 144 Hz and a resolution of 2560 x 1440. I've tried most of my games including Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft and I'm getting very good performance. My only quibble is that it has a fairly prominent bezel and I am used to a bezel-free look on my home monitor. Additionally, it looks mildly convex in shape. These are minor quibbles for the price and quality, and I'm very impressed with both as well as the ease of setup. Definitely make sure to install the proper ICC profile and you will be happy with this nice gaming monitor for years to come. ... show more

  • What a Display!!!
Size: 27 Inch Style: 144Hz
This monitor absolutely blew me away from the unboxing. Set up took no more than 10 minutes it is such a breeze to do! The parts are definitely made with high quality material, very sturdy. It runs my Xbox Series S at 1440p/ 120 fps and 4k Ultra HD at 60fps. It has a very sharp image. The colors blend beautifully and really pop out! There are so many different settings to change: the colors, rgb, vsync, and many others. For the connectivity, there are 2 HDMI’s and one display port. As far as I know, there is no sound speakers on the monitor itself, so a sound bar or headphones is needed but that is not too much of a nuisance as it seems many monitors go that route. ... show more

  • Amazing 1440p Monitor
Size: 27 Inch Style: 144Hz
This LG Monitor has a very nice display and since upgrading from my old 1080p display - listed below, is one of the best decisions ever made, not only are images higher quality and performance on this LG 1440p and HDR/Nvidia G-SYNC compatible monitor, but what they say is true, the increased refresh rates and clearer image does indeed result in less visual related problems, and less migraine type headaches from stepping up to 1440p and I'm positive this would be the same with 4K or 8K displays and also higher refresh rates to speed up the times the image is refreshed resulting in less strain on eyes/brain. I have noticed a significant difference since going up to this LG 1440p display and if have solid top tier PC graphics card and other hardware, even recommend potentially stepping up to 4K or better if have a GPU like 3080/3090 or 4080/4090 that will perform well at 4K -- but this thus far in 30+ years of PC usage and gaming, is by far the best choice made to experience what its like at 1440p+ by far and not gonna lie, had no idea it would be that extremely good until I plugged it in and could see the difference in quality side by side - granted the 3 images above one is the LG 2560x1440p on left side while gaming and right side image is PC desktop wallpaper image in 1920x1080p, there still is a fairly noticeable difference, thus also why the right side image is smaller in size and not as clear as this LG monitor on the left and why I have included these just in case it helps. Note: The 3 images included - which I should mention are from Visions of Mana (Square Enix) game demo version, Valve/Steam platform and EVGA 3060 XC 12gb GPU and I do not own the rights to, image on right side, is captured from secondary monitor and XFX RX 570 XXX Edition 8gb GPU - image is a free Microsoft provided "Windows Spotlight" and also do not own any rights or credit from the above, but plainly just for reference - also image on left is the 1440p LG27GL83A-B and image on right is 1080p on VISIO d40f-g9 40" TV used for my secondary monitor. ... show more

  • Worth the buy (no integrated speaker)
Size: 27 Inch Style: 144Hz
This is probably the best gaming monitor I have ever bought and I cans say that it has lived up to its hype, while it provides a good refresh rate and size, and at a fair price!, the only flaw that this monitor has is that fact that it comes with no integrated speaker, for sole this is no problem but at this price I feel like it should be included. Other than that the design is great and would only say that it does not have many orientation options with the stand. Love it and will use it for many years to come tho. ... show more
