  • This monitor is not for the gamer.
Style: 32BN88U-B
If you looking for gaming monitor, do not buy and just pass This is same as LG 32UN880-B with 1year warranty. but this(LG 32BN88U-B) model is for business and have 3 year warranty. 32", 4k, IPS, 3rd gen stand are really cool and also color is very accrued. if you're working for design or video editing, this monitor will be perfect. ... show more

  • better than expected with a MacBook Pro
Style: 27BN88U-B
At work I had a 2 year-old LG 4G 27-inch Ultrafine model paired to a MacBook Pro. Unlike the "retina" scaling controls on the laptop, I just had a basic list of resolutions to choose from. While the display was amazingly crisp at 1900 * 1080, it was unusably blurry at 2k and impossible to work with at 4k, and I was sacrificing display area and photo detail, etc. So I was concerned about buying another 27 inch 4k for this reason, but after reading that there were ways to work around the problem with tools and configs I decided to give it a shot anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the 27BN88U-B did get the proper "retina" scaling controls, allowing five settings of text scaling, all perfectly sharp. The picture also has a wide gamut of configurability so I was able to adjust perfect contrast and color accuracy + temperature. Photos look stunning and text in ITerm2 (for programming) is amazingly clear. I guess the weak point is text scrolling in the browser is just OK at 60hz, but I guess that is what more expensive models bring. No big deal for me. The Ergo arm is great, but my 33 inch-deep desk is perhaps the limit to how far away I can work with it comfortably. Any more and I'd probably want to drill a hole and use the supplied through-desk mount. In short, I highly recommend this monitor. ... show more

  • Great 32" 4K IPS USB-C Monitor with ergonomic adjustable stand and decent speakers.
Style: 32BN88U-B
Great 32" 4K IPS USB-C Monitor with ergonomic adjustable stand and decent speakers. I did some research between the consumer model 32UN880 and this commercial model 32BN88U. The differences that I noted was the commercial model has additional licenses/certifications, Energy Star mode, and a 3 year warranty. I assume these extra features are for business/commercial compliance. ... show more

  • Terrific Monitor, Flexibility is Outstanding
Style: 27BN88U-B
I purchased this monitor for my office desk, as I needed a larger viewing area than my laptop monitor and wanted to use my laptop in clamshell mode to increase working space. I researched, looking for the best monitor for my purposes and decided on this one. Pros: The absolutely best feature about this monitor is its flexibility. As advertised, it swivels and pivots, inverts to lengthwise view, adjusts to be closer or farther away, and can be raised or lowered to accommodate a standing desk. The color, clarity, and brightness are all great. The USB-C connection powers my 13" Macbook Pro as well as providing the data feed. I had been concerned by some reviews related to similar products that the USB-C power supply only worked when the computer was awake. That has not been my experience; however, I do not leave the computer plugged in overnight or unattended for extensive periods of time, so it is possible this might occur and I have simply not observed it. Desk connection: I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this monitor does not have to be anchored to the desk by the C-clamp. I have an older desk that is equipped with a hole for wires to be routed underneath the desk. This monitor's attachment options allowed me to remove the C-clamp and secure the monitor through the desk opening. This gave me a much neater appearance for my office and removed the "industrial chic" aspect of sporting a C-clamp on the edge of my desk. Cons: Does not have a built-in microphone or camera/video necessary to fully participate in internet meetings. I use the monitor with computer in clamshell when I'm on a Zoom meeting that doesn't require my video or speaking participation. Otherwise, I have to use my computer, or hook up peripherals. Only available (that I found during my research) in the color black. I have a similar LG product for my home office that came in white. This is purely a personal preference issue. Overall, this is an outstanding monitor, at an excellent price. I would absolutely recommend this monitor and would not hesitate to purchase another one if the need arises. ... show more

  • No DP cables, not compatible with all desks.
Style: 27BN88U-B
Nice monitor for the most part... not quite my old iMac 5K display, but a good solution when switching from Apple. Couple of points to be aware of: 1. The stand isn't compatible with all desks. It clamps onto the desk either through a hole, or around the back edge of the desk. If your desk has a thin top (mine is a cheap desk from Ikea with a 5/8" thick top), then the clamp won't close enough to get any purchase on the desk. I solved this by cutting shims from a piece of 3/4" plywood. If you can't cut your own plywood shims, then make sure the top is thick enough, and or get ready to buy a new desk, a different VESA monitor stand, or a different monitor. 2. It doesn't come with Display Port cables. There's an HDMI cable, and a USB-C cable. If you need DisplayPort, order a cable. 3. It's bright enough, but not excessively so. Default brightness is at 100% (or perhaps it auto-adjusted to 100% when I turned it on, I'm not sure). I don’t turn it down very much unless the lights are dimmed, but my office isn’t bright so it works well. 4. If you want to run two of these, you'll need a halfway decent video card (they are hard to come by right now). Look in device manager and figure out what card you have, and then google specs to find out maximum resolution. My old GeForce 8500 GT doesn't work. My AMD 6700 XT does fine so far. Any of the GeForce 3000 series cards are fine. It's not perfect, but all these things said, I don't know if there's a better 4K monitor available for $500 bucks. I can buy new DP cables, cut shims so that it works with my desk, and dim the lights in the room, and it solves just about all the problems I have with it. ... show more
