  • Great picture quality, small bezels and great RGB
Style: 27GN95B-B
This is the business version of the 27GN950-B, however, unlike other brands, this seems to be a 1:1 copy of their brother. Pros: - Great picture quality, one of the best for the price point. - Super small bezels. I love that they finally got rid of the Acer logo on the bottom of the monitor. You can see the huge difference with the bezels of the monitor on the left (also another 27" from Acer). - Vesa mount on point. I'm on a two-monitor setup so I have not tested the included support. However, it works perfectly with monitor arms. It uses 100x100mm mounts. - RGB is pretty bright. I love how it reflects the RGB colors on the wall behind the monitor - Good calibration. I will later buy a calibration tool to properly caliber the monitor, however, it seems pretty accurate by default. Cons: - Availability. I was looking for this monitor since December last year, however it was not available at all. Finally, I got it a month ago, and almost at MSRP ($840). - HDR 600. I was not expecting this monitor to perform well with HDR content. And it was the case, it performs poorly. The colors seem too warm in my opinion, and they seem washed out. HDR is a cool feature to have, however, this product seems to be only a marketing feature. I would not recommend you buying this monitor if you plan to consume HDR content on it. - Hidden documentation. RGB Lighting needs software to be customized, LG Ultra gear control center, however, they don't tell you that anywhere! I had to do research to finally find that. Overall great monitor. I'm planning on purchasing another one to match my dual-monitor setup. Hope to find stock at MSRP or close. ... show more

  • Amazing in a dark room, needs an awesome GPU for it
Style: 27GN95B-B
It's funny, it shows up as a 27G950 in the display settings, but it's labelled 27G95B every where else. I think LG must have just changed out some chips due to chip shortage but it's beautiful and amazing. I found my video card can't even drive it all the way @ 4K. I have a Pascal-based Titan X, and it can only do 4k @ 10-bit HDR @ 95 Hz or 8-bit at 120 Hz. I ordered a EVGA 3090 RTX for list price just now @ $1919 for 24G-P5-3987-KR SKU. I can't wait to see how DLSS helps. The colors are super crisp, it's butter smooth, but now my GPU is running hard all the time @ 4K. The anti-glare isn't great, and if you're in a sunny room it can be hard to see the screen. I got mine for $775, I thought that was a pretty good price all things considered. I'm really enjoying it, and might update after I get the 3090 RTX in. UPDATE: the 3090 RTX with DSC can drive 4k @ 144hz and it’s insane. Just butter smooth. HDR isn’t the best and requires some tuning but got it working too. ... show more

  • Fantastic Screen but not easy to setup
Style: 27GN95B-B
This is a fantastic screen, love the color and the G-sync works well for gaming. The mounting option works easily and I love the LED back to add to ambience when you're gaming. This particular screen is the business version, so I found that on the US version of LG site, you can't really find support for this screen. Out of box the screen had an issue of turning off automatically when Idle and not coming back on unless you unplug it - even after doing that it was hit or miss when it would work. I found through several hours of research that this was a known issue, and there were driver updates you had to download from LG to get it to stop doing that. Well, again, the US lg site does not list this screen anymore for support so no luck for the drivers and updates on that site, but the australian site does have all that stuff. Once I downloaded the driver and application to control the screen (Onscreen Control) it seemed to work like you would expect it to. This issue was prominent with using the display port at 144 Hz to get full quality, if you're using HDMI 2.1 it was still and issue but less prominent, and not able to get true 144 Hz. My suggestion is if you don't want to go through all that hassle get a different screen, but for this price, it's a great screen and works really well for video and gaming. ... show more

  • Great 4K picture at 144Hz refresh rate
Style: 27GN95B-B
Purchased December 2022 and it replaced an LG 27" 60-Hz display (27UK850W, which is also excellent). The faster screen has a slightly narrower bezel all around, but the display screen is the same size. Important: ensure you use the display port or HDMI cable that came with the monitor, otherwise you may have screen flashing problems, as I did, when I tried using my Amazon Basics cable. I recommend downloading the LG UltraGear Control Center software for full control of the LED ambient lighting. The picture is razor sharp, was easy to adjust the color/contrast/brightness to match my other displays, and it just works with no fuss. Other owners have complained about fan noise, but I don't hear a peep from mine, so maybe it doesn't have a fan anymore. Zero complaints! ... show more

  • It was a great monitor until it wasn't - buyer's beware
Style: 27GN95B-B
I purchased this monitor in March 2022 and at the time it was pretty much the best 4k 144hz gaming monitor you can buy on the market. At the time I paid $800 for it and for a while I was pretty happy with my purchase. I really like the way it looks (with the RGB on the back) and the display itself is impressive. However, one day out of nowhere, a purple (sometimes green line) showed up on the display. Tried different outputs and different cables but it wouldn't go away. At the time this issue showed up I was past my 1 year warranty on the product so there is nothing LG will do for me even though this product is only 1 & 1/2 years old. I inquired about how much it would cost to fix the screen. They gave me a $350 repair cost estimate and told me that I would have to ship the product to them and wait for it to get repaired. For that kind of money I can buy myself a brand new decent gaming monitor. Since then, the 1 purple line has now multiplied into 4 purple lines. I've posted some photos to go with my review I guess this means that the issue with my display is quickly deteriorating and soon it would be completely unusable. My dilemma now is to either spend $350 and wait a couple weeks to get this monitor fixed or shop for a new one on Amazon and get it in two days. Naturally I'd expect a massive tech conglomerate like LG would be making quality products that will last you years to come but you'd be surprised. ... show more
