  • Works great!
Size: 1 Pack
No complaints. I do a lot of antique restoration, and it looks and performs just as I had hoped!

  • Solid construction, but taking it apart is a chore
Size: 1 Pack
There isn't much to be said about a plug. This plug is very hard to take apart, which is something you have to do before you can connect it. It requires a flat nose screwdriver and a lot of pulling. Naturally I was concerned to break it, but it held fine. Once disassembled, the connection is easy and the contacts inside are solid. Putting it back together was a fraction of the work to take it apart. Frankly, I don't understand why they needed to make so big notches as the plug would hold together even without any notches (due to friction). Little notches would probably make sense for an extra margin of safety... Anyway, a solid plug. ... show more

  • Insert Removal Very Difficult
Size: 1 Pack
Many complaints/observations about difficulty of insert removal. Easier if following procedure used: First insert 2 small flat blade eyeglass screwdrivers from the blade side into the small slots above the insert retaining ribs and over the ribs. Next place a 1/4 inch dowel or flat blade screw driver into the cord end and place the other end of dowel or handle end of screwdriver onto a table or desk. Then using fingers placed on edges of blade end of plug (may have to hold screwdrivers apart), push down and the insert will pop out with little difficulty. After cord end wire connection to blades and insert re-install, be sure that retaining ribs stick out from slots by squeezing the sides together (this rubbery plastic is very flexible). Overall I liked this plug as the cord wires are very secure after screw wrap and re-insertion. ... show more

  • Matches an antique plug
Size: 1 Pack
This perfectly matched a plug on an antique lamp I was rewiring. It was easy to install and provided the peace of mind of a new plug without ruining the look. It was nice and easy to find on Amazon.

  • Doesn't secure the cord
Size: 1 Pack
I didn't have trouble prying the plug apart like most everyone else in the reviews did. However, what were they thinking when they made the stem of the plug so large? It doesn't grip or secure the cord at all. The opening is 3/8 of an inch. What lamp cord is 3/8 in diameter?

Worked perfect to repair lamp cord broken plug.

  • Looks like an old style 2 conductor plug
Size: 1 Pack
Looks like an old style 2 conductor plug. VERY difficult to open up to attach the wires. Low priced for the brown model. Not polarized. Does the job to replace an antique plug.

  • Size Matters
Size: 1 Pack
First of all, these are very well made replacement plugs if you don't need polarized wiring. They are solid, easy to take apart, wire, and snap together. But if the product description had included dimensions, I would not have bought these plugs. The photos are a bit deceptive. The plugs are 1 9/16" (40mm) wide. Compare that to a standard plug, which is about 1" (26mm) wide. The hole where you feed in the wire is a full 3/8" (10mm) diameter. That's big enough for a heavier gauge than you would want to use with a non-polarized plug. Fortunately they were cheap. Don't know if it's worth trying to return them. ... show more
