I was a little nervous about buying these because jeans tend to fit me poorly, but I'm SO glad I did! To preface this review, I'm 5'5" with a 31.5" waist and a 41" hip, so I was solidly between the size 30 and 31. I had to order a 30R because it was the only size that would arrive before I left town for two weeks, but I'm so glad I did! The jeans have plenty of stretch, the denim is soft and comfortable while not being too thin, and they're the darkest black pair of jeans I've ever owned, which is exactly what I was looking for! I was afraid they might be too straight cut to fit my slightly curvy figure, but they fit me like a glove. The inseam is a little long (hits below my ankle bone) so I have to bunch them up around my ankles a bit, but I hardly notice it while wearing them. While the waist is a little snug, it's not uncomfortable. In fact, this might be the only pair of jeans I don't have to wear a belt with! This is an awesome staple for any wardrobe, especially if you're a fan of dressing goth or punk. I'm absolutely ordering three more pairs, because who could resist Levi's for $20? I wear these pants for work, I am a press operator. Sometimes my pants get ink on them, and the ink seeps through. These pants are quite thick, and durable. Bending is easy, they’re very flattering and fit my body nicely.

I was never a die-hard loyalist to Levi's but Levi's type 1 used to be my favorite 20 years ago. My wardrobe has always been filled with AE jeans (Sz 4) and Hudson Collin (Sz 26), based on the fact that height is 5'6'' and weight is kept around 129-132lbs. So I grabbed these jeans on Prime Day sale, size 27 (color - Oh Snap it). Thought about grabbing Size 26 but glad that I picked Size 27 due to non-jegging material and super-skinny fitting. Yes, the material is somewhat 'rigid' if compared to AE jegging series, however it perfectly holds the shape while still keeping the fabric's resilience (just like Hudson Collin). The high-waist design is specifically tailored to follow the curves of my hips, thighs, and calves, creating a sleek silhouette and providing a flattering look, which complements my current body figure and age(Mom of 2 kids). Love this pair of 720 high-rise Levi's jeans, now part of my everyday essential jeans-to-wear series. Would recommend giving these jeans a try! ... show more

I've been wanting some black Levi's because I love the look of the monochromatic patch and tab on the back. I wasn't sure what size to get because Levi's all fit differently based on material. I wear a 28 in my 100% cotton Wedgie jeans, a 27 in Hypersoft shorts, and a 27 in a different pair of Levi's skinny jeans (75% cotton, 23% polyester, 2% elastane). For these pants I ordered Black Squared in 27 and 28, and Ring the Alarm in 27 (28 was not available). Ring the Alarm: 78% cotton, 21% polyester, 1% elastane Size 27 = 28” waistband (14” laid flat) I tried Ring the Alarm first, and the 27 fit amazingly. Very soft and comfy. I love the super distressed look but I'm concerned about it holding up through washing/wearing since the fabric is stretchy. Black Squared: 64% cotton, 34% polyester, 2% elastane Size 27 = 26” waistband (13” laid flat) Size 28 = 27” waistband (13.5” laid flat) Since 27 worked in Ring the Alarm, I tried Black Squared in 27 next. Before even attempting to button them I could tell they weren't going to work. I tried the 28 and they fit nicely, but they still weren't quite as comfy as Ring the Alarm. I was a little surprised by this because they have a higher elastane and lower cotton content, so I expected them to be stretchier. After measuring the waistbands, it seems like they compensate for the stretchier fabric by cutting it smaller. ... show more

I've always had an issue with the length of my jeans. They're always just a tad too long or a tad too short. These, however, are the perfect length, as you can see in my photo. I'm 5'3 and 115-117lbs, and I ordered a 27-Short. They're a bit tight and stiff, but they're skinny jeans and real denim (yes, not the typical stretchy material that is used in jeggings and fake denim products). I anticipate it will slowly stretch and become more comfortable. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Edit: yes, they have become more comfortable! However, I noticed they do bunch up a bit awkwardly sometimes, at least for me. However, I love them to death. They don't make my legs uncomfortably sweaty unlike jeggings made with polyester and spandex. Edit #2: My light color jeans are super comfortable now! I think they're my favorite jeans to wear now and they don't cling to my legs when the weather's warm, unlike my "jeggings." I liked them so much, I bought a second pair (black). These came smelling kinda funky (almost like burnt rubber/plastic?), so not great. But I anticipate washing them might help. I got the smell out with a mixture of vinegar (1 cup), salt (1/2 cup) and a gallon of water + a regular wash cycle. Something weird I noticed is that the Indigo Daze has giant front pockets compared to the Black and Ontario ones. I can stick my entire hand in the pocket whereas I can only stick my hand half way for the other two. I wonder if it's because I washed those jeans. ... show more
