Description

Level 1: Demon Lord and One Room HeroOnce He Was A Hero, Now He’s A Has Been, And His New Roommate Is A Demon From His PastTen years ago, Max struck the final blow against the Demon Lord, but now he’s out of shape, out of cash, and completely out of the public eye. Except for the eyes of the resurrected Demon Lord, who desperately wants to stage a rematch! Unfortunately, the facts that the Demon Lord is now physically ten years old, that Max has no interest in fighting, and that the Demon Lord’s secretary Zenia is totally against the idea are just a few of the “minor” problems that will have to be addressed when the Demon Lord moves in to “fix” up his former foe in LEVEL 1: DEMON LORD AND ONE ROOM HERO!

  • Great Anime 👍👍
Very funny 😂😂

  • An excellent example of what anime can be
Every few years an anime like this comes out and makes everything else look like an amateur's effort. This show knocks it out of the park and has something for everyone. The story is well fleshed out and interesting without being so complicated you need to spend several hours on a wiki to find out what was going on. The comedy is well-timed and far above average. The art is beautiful and the animation is great. The writers took on the monumental task of making you care about the characters without really making you despise anyone. It's amazing how many common pitfalls were expertly avoided. I often get an experience in other shows where I can literally see the point where some executive said "ok, you're overbudget. Use the stock CGI dragon to save money or we're cancelling this project". I've seen the budget run out DOZENS of times elsewhere by now and it's sad and frustrating. That didn't happen here. The quality and pacing are solid all the way through. There are no filler episodes and no wasted screen time here. The story is original and the tropes it utilizes are used in a way that makes sense. There's no table flip and subverting expectations in order to fool the audience at the expense of throwing all rational character behavior out the window. It makes sense that the characters and countries are acting the way that they do. I've seen hundreds of anime and this is easily in the top 10, maybe top 5. It's amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. It surprised the hell out of me that it was going to be this good. ... show more

  • Well rounded
I was surprised at how good this turned out. There's a little something for everybody in this show. Plenty of action for the battle junkies, perfectly timed comedy, great animation (for it's time), well established plot with strong morals/ values, there's not much to complain about. Overall, great and entertaining show ... show more
