But the waist band was the test. The elastic in the back was very comfortable, non-binding, and the large button slid right in. And they made my butt look nice! I’ve bought & returned & rebought a few times bc of weird sizing so hopefully this helps. I love these pants. They do shrink if you dry them. I can wear a XL but I don’t like form fitting clothes so I go for loser so 2X is best for me. The dark purple I bought as 2x, they were big so I returned for an XL & those were skin tight. Returned, reordered a 2X washed & dried & now they fit great! However I wouldn’t say they are a 2X. More of an xl after drying. I’ve bought the light pink ones and the 2x is rather big in that color. Washed & dried, but they are still a little big & I have to pull them up constantly. These seem to be more of a 2x even after drying. Dark brown fit nicely as a 2x. I washed but only slightly dried. These are more of a loose XL. Dark Khaki was massive! I mean huge! Those seemed to be more of a 3x so I returned them. Sizes def run a bit strange, but they are cute & comfy. Delivered this morning as promised and put them right on. I was so happy. They fit perfectly and just like the model's photo. I went with the size chart and ordered the medium in black. The fit is exactly what I would have purchased if I would have found them in a store and tried on. The fabric is heavy but not canvas heavy. They are so comfortable. If it helps, I am 5'5" and weight is around 140. As I've gotten older, I carry most in my waist area. Otherwise, I could have, maybe, worn a small. They are one of the best pant items I have ever bought online, without trying on. Also, the sales price was great also. These are cute, comfortable and pretty much exactly what I was looking for in cargo pants. However I won’t be keeping them because the sizing is pretty off. I’m normally a size 16 so I ordered an XL because I listened to the reviews to size down. All of the reviews to size down are absolutely correct because even the XL was too big so I ordered the L as well. I felt like the XL was comfy in the waist but the legs were super baggy and long (I’m only 5’2). The L fit perfectly in the legs, but the waist was borderline too small. They were tight enough to where I wasn’t sure if I’d be comfortable in them for a long period of time or not. I ended up returning both pairs because I didn’t like how tight in the waist the L was and I didn’t like how baggy the XL looked ... show more

I just received my cargo pants and I knew right away that I'd probably love them before I even tried them on. The material was nice and the style and color was exactly what I thought I was getting. Once I tried them on....I fell in love with them. They fit perfect and are very flattering. I got army green in an XS. I'm 5'1, 115 lbs and they fit PERFECT! The length is perfect when I wear my 3 1/2 inch heel platform bootand pants are usually very long on me. I love them!! I plan on getting in a couple more colors. I purchased one pair (misty blue) and washed them before wearing. They did shrink but they fit well. I've ordered another pair (wine red) and had the same results. Just ordered 2 more! I love all the pockets which is so much more useful than regular jeans.

5’2 160 ordered a large but I can easily wear a medium in these. I’m blessed in the back so I struggle finding good fitting cargos. The elastic in waist is very comfortable & there is an adequate amount of stretch in the material making the pants very comfortable overall. After the day continued the pants did become quite a bit looser even in the waist so I would have been better served in a medium. I wore these with platform sneakers and they were still a little long so they aren’t super short girl friendly but not bad at all. Just make sure you aren’t wearing really flat shoes.
