  • Takes A While To Expand
Color: 2 Pack
You get plenty of coco fiber in this package. It does take a while to expand so I recommend placing it in water and go do something else while you wait cause I just sat there watching it and it was like watching paint dry lol. Expands a good amount and stays moist for quite a while. I used it to fill a dig box for my hamster. ... show more

  • You get a lot
Color: 2 Pack
You get a lot of substrate with this. It really expands a ton. The only thing I didn't like about it (and why I took away a star) is that it's rather a fine substrate. There's no chunks to it. No bigger bark pieces, which I really prefer. Other than that, this stuff is great.

  • Quick Expansion Coconut Fiber Brick
Color: 2 Pack
I have been culturing grindal worms to feed to my guppies. I use plastic shoe boxes with coconut fiber as substrate in it to keep them. Depends on the size of the colony, every once in a while, I need to replace part of the old substrate otherwise the colony will collapse. I have been using other brands of compressed coconut fiber brick at a bigger size. This time I decided to try this Legigo brand. I put one of this brick into a 5 gallon bucket. As normal, I used a 12 oz paper cup to slowly add water to it. Unless you are familiar with the product, otherwise just add small amount of water slowly so you can adjust accordingly. In less than 15 minutes, the coconut fiber brick has expanded to a texture to my satisfaction. I checked the finished product , it was very uniform. There were no foreign materials or big chunk of hull in it. This brick expanded at a much quicker rate than the brand I have been using and it is cleaner. I am going to try this on a smaller colony of grindal worms in a smaller container first to see how the worms react to it. If everything goes well, I will switch to this product. ... show more

  • Just as good as the pricier alternatives
Color: 2 Pack
Typically when you see a cheaper alternative product by a lesser known brand, you expect the quality to suffer. That is not the case with the Legigo Coconut Fiber. I have been using Coconut Fiber for my reptiles for years and I've especially preferred compressed bricks because you tend to get more coconut fiber for less money. Despite it being cheaper than buying already dry bags, the big reptile brands still mark this stuff up. So I was curious to try out this brand that was cheaper than the big brands, despite offering the same amount. Sure enough, the Legigo coco fiber is the exact same quality as bigger, more expensive brands. The consistency is identical, the amount you get is identical (perhaps even more) and the overall quality matches. To conclude, there is zero reason to overpay for coconut fiber. This brand will get the job done and save you money in the process. ... show more

  • Great substrate for my tortoise
Color: 2 Pack
I got this 2 pack compressed coco fiber substrate to use in my tortoise's enclosure. I normally use eco earth compressed bricks, and figured I would try out this brand to compare. Just as any other compressed brick substrate, it expands with water. I like using warm water, as it helps up the humidity in my enclosure. The substrate is fine, which I like. I always top off with sphagnum moss anyway to keep up the humidity. Overall, it's pretty much no different than the eco earth that I currently use. I don't know if I would be swayed to switch over though, as it costs a little more (unless you choose the 8 pack, that is). I'd recommend it for tortoise enclosures, since coco fiber is natural, safe if ingested, holds onto moisture really well (perfect for high humidity tortoises, like my red footed tortoise), and odor free (among other things). ... show more

  • Great for our setup
Color: 2 Pack
I got this to replace the paper towels I was using in my ten gallon house gecko setup. It looks a lot nicer and holds moisture better. I have noticed our gecko is a lot more active now so he seems to be happy with it, and now he can hunt his insects easier because they can't hide under the paper towels. One brick filled the bottom of the ten gallon a few inches, with plenty to spare so we have the extra sitting in its own box. It sucks up a ton of water, I greatly underestimated how much water to soak it in, and kept having to add more. I look forward to mixing it with some other substrate when we get the vertical habitat set up as a more permanent home for our little friend. I shouldn't have to buy more anytime soon since our needs are so small, but if/when I do, I would for sure order this again. ... show more

  • Two pack of compressed coconut fiber substrate for your terrarium floor.
Color: 2 Pack
This is a set of two compressed coconut fiber bricks. They are made to be used as a substrate material for your reptile. You first make a tank of clean purified water, and then chunk off some of this in the water. You allow it to soak for a while and then you squeeze it out and pack it down on the bottom of your terrarium. This needs to be changed every so often when it is dirty and stinky. This makes a lovely mat for your creature to crawl over instead of the cold smooth hard surface of the terrarium. Because you get two compressed bricks, this is a good value. This seems to be a high quality coconut fiber with smooth fibers, no chunks of foreign material. I'm sure that when you clean your tank, you could compost this in your garden, as this is a pure product. I am very happy to have this substrate to help me care for my new gecko. ... show more

  • Awesome renewable and sustainable substrate
Color: 2 Pack
Coco coir has been invaluable to me for years. I use it in all my substrates - houseplants, vivariums, terrariums, everything. It has a neutral chemical profile, hydrates very nicely, maintains moisture without compressing, stays fluffy and airy, and does not breakdown for may years. I've even used it as a hydroponic medium with success. Best of all, coco coir is one of the most sustainable and renewable materials on Earth for your gardening needs. It is made by drying and fibrous husks on the outside of coconuts, which is then washed, chopped dried, and compressed into blocks. What used to be trash is now one of the greatest gardening supplies available. I find it to be a superior substitute for peat moss, which is completely not renewable and running out at an alarming rate. Some would argue the opposite, but it is inarguable that this is one of the greatest substrate components available today. High recommendation. ... show more
