Very fine mesh. Nice size. Doesn't rip easily, have to use scissors to cut. Works well for cabbage white moths and butterflies. It allows light and rain to come through. We had -3 degrees Celsius and it prevented some frost damage. Some of my kale and cabbage had a bit of damage from the frost. most were okay.     • Boy, this stuff sure tears and snags easily.
It really should have been sewn around the edges so it doesn't shred and catch on everything. I would have thought it would come on a roll so the edges might have a selvedge or something, but no chance.

Bought as a hail net for plants. Seems good, but it hasn't hailed yet. It's very flexible and hard to pull tight, which is fine. One edge was frayed though and when cut to size it begins to fray. I burned these edges with a lighter to try melt the strands together so they won't unravel. Rough but seems to work! ... show more
