    • Finally finding 100% cotton jeans made me feel like I won the lottery!

Like so many other women here I was thrilled to finally get 100% cotton jeans. I ended up here after ordering jeans from two other big name companies who both sent me cotton-poly-spandex blends, and back they both went! Here I ordered black jeans in tall. For myself, I found that my usual size was a tad too small, so I exchanged them for the next size up. (Some people here said the jeans ran a bit small.) The only problem was that the waist was a bit too big and the pants felt like they would slide down. However, I sew so I put four very small darts in the waistband, and now they are perfect. Some others said they had trouble with the waistband, some too big, some too small. The inseam is 33 inches (someone got a 30 inch inseam when they ordered tall) and for me the length is just right. A couple of people said the jeans had a chemical smell, but that seemed to be the blue jeans, rather than the black, which is what I ordered. The color is also a nice deep black, not wishy washy. I certainly believe these other women's experiences, I guess the bottom like is that people come is so many shapes and sizes and sometimes it's not easy finding clothes that fit you. ... show more

I ordered 2 pairs of these because I wanted sturdy jeans with no spandex or polyester to wear in the summer while doing yardwork. I'm kind of thin, so the relaxed fit is too baggy for me, but it was the only affordable 100% cotton option I could find. I'm happy with the weight. I think they'll hold up well. And I got lucky in that the seams are sewn well and the fabric was cut right, so the legs hang straight. My only complaint is that, on both pairs, there are two seams - inside on one leg and outside on the other - that were folded and sewn down the wrong way at the bottom. That makes the seam allowance lay one way and then the other down the leg, which can cause a bit of discomfort if the flipped part rubs against your skin. I fixed them myself but would've paid a pro to do it if I were planning to wear them out and around. BTW, one pair was 1/2-inch longer than the other, so you can't really count on the length being right. But if they fit you well otherwise, then it may be worth having them hemmed, as they seem like they'd last a long time with gentle use. ... show more

I gave these a 3star because they are 100% cotton and are long, but they DO NOT "SIT AT WAIST". THEY'RE BELOW WAIST. I'm so sad, I bought them because I thought they would fit like my dear old at the waist lee lady riders. A fellow shopper said that Lee size chart was accurate, so I ordered the 14 because cotton at waist would fit differently, (even though I have been wearing 12 lee stretch)...the "waist" is huge, and the rise in SHORT like petite. Legs are nice- wide and long. Now I have to decide if it's worth paying shipping back. ... show more

Fit is great and just as described. It seems that a lot of straight leg jeans are actually a bit baggy, closing the gap between straight leg and baggy style jeans. These are just what they are supposed to be. Straight leg. Excellent quality stitching and denim. I ordered petite, as again, it seems they are typically making them longer than they used to, and they are perfect length. A little long, but not too long. I’m 5’4”, fyi. I used to buy these jeans all the time. I can still wear the pairs I had before, but when I saw they were on sale (at Christmas), I jumped on the chance. Now, I bought the SAME size jeans as the ones I already own from this company, and in this same style. And these jeans are about 2 inches smaller in the waist than the others I own that are the exact same type/size. And why are they sitting so low on the hips now? I have no interest in showing my undies or my butt crack to the world. Be aware that the jeans might be running a tad small when you buy your pair. You can always buy a belt, if you need one, but it's not always fun to try to squeeze into a pair of jeans that simply are the wrong size. Now, I know why these were on sale! Needless to say, I'm disappointed. I won't be buying anymore from Lee. What a shame. ... show more
