The first time I tried to use this bag I gave up. The app is not great and there aren't really instructions on how to use the app. I still haven't figured out how to make a single screen with a word or phrase (it comes out too big so it has to scroll) but I did find where you can choose an image already created by others. There are so many cute ones to choose from. What you need to know is what dimensions your product is. I realized that this app works for other LED products that have different screen dimensions. If you choose an image with the incorrect dimensions for your product it just won't work. The correct image dimensions for this sling bag is 32x16. Now that I've figured out how to use pre-created images and animations I'm having so much fun with it. You do need to have your own battery pack for this to work. It's best to choose the flat, phone-shaped packs because it will slip right into the front pocket with the LED screen. ... show more

The concept of this fanny pack is cool, but it's so not practical. The LED screen is nice and bright but the bag is massive (almost 18" long) and bulky and with the need for a power bank to make the LED screen (attaches with a USB Type A) work also really heavy. It's far to cumbersome to be used on a daily basis. Maybe if they somehow managed to let you use just your phone to power the LED screen it'd be less bulky and heavy but there are so many types of connections on phones that they couldn't make a bag for everyone one (type A, type C, etc.) ... show more

This is a really nice fanny pack, a pack that’s very well-made and crafted. Ther are some really positive things about the pack. It has all impact-resistant plastic hardware such as the slider and buckle. What’s really good about the buckle is that it has a safety latch on the buckle. I had to had to pull on a small silicone tipped tie in order to open it up. The fanny pack won’t easily be lost or stolen if being worn. There’s plenty of room in this oversized pack. Now, I was thinking this would be perfect for one of the ‘tweens in the family, but it’s too large. It’s essentially something an older teen or adult could use. The zippers are covered with a silicone, making it water-resistant up to a point. Unfortunately, water is absorbed into the material and doesn’t bead off. That being said, I moved on to check out the Spotled app. FYI, the directions aren’t readable so unless you’re a very high-tech individual, take a pass. I didn’t download the app as it is buggy, has security issues, and apparently little support. Once again, the construction of the pack is very nice, but overall, there are too many issues at this time to recommend use for young individuals. ... show more

Got this fanny pack mostly due to the LED display which can mostly display whatever you want. The quality is nice and enough space in the pockets. However, I wish it had its own rechargeable battery instead of needing a separate power bank which is not included. The instructions manual needs a lot of improvement and wasn't even in English for me but I was able to figure it out without it.
