I bought these because we did not want a bright light for our 3 way lamp. This work very well. It gives enough light you can see what you are doing and to get around in the room. One lamp had these yellow bulbs and the other has white bulbs when we need more light. These should last many years.

I first ordered the Amber color because I detest bluish lighting such as fluorescent. The Amber bulb didn't seem bright enough to read under and made the room seem gloomy. I returned them and got the Soft white and am much happier with it, although I wish that the highest setting was a bit brighter sometimes. I purchased these to replace CFL 3-ways and the Lumens and Color are as noted. They do not get used a lot so time will tell on that issue. Odd that one bulb did not work in one lamp but was ok in the other one. The 3 steps of lighting are great.
