My wife recently tried the Lovsheme LED Silicone Mask I bought for her and has been impressed by its performance, even though it’s a short time using it. The mask features three light modes (blue light, red light and mixed red and blue lights) and 3 time settings (10, 20 and 30 minutes), making it versatile for different skincare needs. There’s a Red Light mode mainly to increase skin collagen growth, reduce wrinkles, increase blood circulation and elastin on the face (among other things). The Blue Light mode is more for antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin to reduce acne, rosacea and postules, reducing the greasy skin. The blue light or mixed light seems good for teens with acne and skin issues. The red light or mixed would be better for older people showing signs of skin deterioration (See the attached pics with the user’s manual information). The silicone material is flexible and comfortable, allowing to relax during the treatment. The eye protection eyecups are also appreciated, which made the bright lights manageable, as light strength level 3 is really bright - which is good- but totally bearable. If you read the instructions and play a minute with the control buttons you’ll find out it’s easy to use. (Note: fully charge the control/battery before using it first time). After a few days of use, my wife noticed a visible tightness on her facial skin, reduced skin pores and an improvement on her facial skin texture she says she can feel. So it seems to be working well and it’s really promising to keep improving her skin overtime... who knows, maybe I’ll start using it too. Note: They recommend to use the mask 3 to 5 times a week, on a 4 week cycle. I've been using this mask for approximately two weeks now, so I can not attest to the long term benefits to my skin. However, the main reason I was interested in this product was it's potential to help me deal with seasonal depression. In that instance, I can say I am already seeing results! Our daylight hours are getting quite short here in the north and the weather is often cold and overcast. I normally start to feel lethargic and down at this time of year. In the past I've taken an antidepressant, just over the winter months, to feel better. It was only minimally successful. I've been reading about red light therapy for treating this issue and I decided to give it a try. Disclaimer: I was not currently taking an antidepressant when I started this and I'm definitely NOT suggesting that anyone should replace their medication with this mask. Obviously, you should consult your doctor about changes in treatment, not an Amazon review! The directions recommend starting off with testing it on your arm in case of skin sensitivity, which I did. It is very gentle. I then used it for 10 minutes in the morning for a week, and I am now doing 20 minutes. I recommend doing some research on red light therapy for seasonal depression, as this product is not specifically marketed for that purpose and it is not covered in the instructions. That said, the instructions are very clear and easy to understand for the purpose of skin care that it is being marketed for. I use it first thing in the morning to help me wake up. It feels just slightly warm, like morning sunshine hitting your face. You can do other things with the mask on but I prefer to just relax with my eyes closed. It helps clear away the sluggish feeling I used to get on a dark, cloudy morning and is a really great start to the day. I've noticed a marked improvement in my mood and energy throughout the day since I've been doing this, especially on days when I am not able to spend very much time outside. As for the quality of the product itself, I am very, very impressed! It functions flawlessly and lasts a long time on a single charge. The remote is very easy to use and turns off automatically when the treatment is done. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. The silicone layer between the lights and your skin makes it comfortable to wear and very easy to clean. The fit is comfortable, secure, and adjustable for every size head. It comes with a silky, black, drawstring bag for storage. The box is classy looking, sturdy, and has a magnetic closure. I will definitely be repurposing it, since I am using the drawstring bag for storing my mask. It also comes with a terry cloth headband and charging cord. They have thought of everything you will need! I wholeheartedly recommend this product. In a very short time I feel that it has had a positive effect on my sense of wellbeing, in what is usually a difficult season for me. I recommend, if you struggle with seasonal depression, that you do some research on red light therapy and give this a try. You could spend a lot more money, but from what I've read, this one checks all the boxes and I am seeing results! 5 stars! ... show more
