Cosmetically, this leather reconditioner performed excellent. It completely fixed the worn portion of my steering wheel so it looked nearly brand new again. It took a little patience and some artistry to make the finish smooth, But the end result I thought was pretty amazing. The downside, however, was that even after multiple days of drying, it still felt a little soft. If I really grabbed the steering wheel hard, it was possible to leave fingerprints in it. Jabbing a fingernail into it would go right through. I had similar results with the center console and the armrest, which also felt slightly sticky even after days of drying. So cosmetically, I thought this leather reconditioner was excellent. But for high use situations, like a steering wheel or an armrest, I don't think it holds up all that well. It's simply dries too soft to handle repeated daily use. I'm still going to give it five stars though. I've used a lot of leather reconditioners, most of them didn't perform nearly as well as this stuff did. ... show more

Just want to clarify this is not a leather repair kit, it's a leather dye and conditioning kit. This means it will restore scuffed or faded leather, but it will NOT fix tears, peeling, or deep scratches. I misunderstood the purpose of this product based on the advertisement. Aside from that, it seems like a pretty complete kit and includes everything needed to do what it's supposed to do. Can confirm the dye works well... it stayed on my fingers for a week. ... show more

I got this to use on my car seats - the driver's seat in particular has several long creases along the side, with peeled areas inside them, creating an old, worn look. This kit contains everything I needed - a large jar of black recoloring balm, a tin of beeswax, 2 small sponges and a spatula. It also has some thin plastic gloves which I didn't use. This washes off your hands easily if you wash them right away after finishing. Black is probably the easiest color to match, so this blended in really well. I waited overnight for the recoloring balm to dry (you only have to wait 4 hours but I had applied it in the evening). The black color absorbed well and covered the obvious flaws and worn areas, although the wrinkles are still visible. I applied the balm and this really added shine, making the leather look almost new and the wrinkles were even less visible. I have attached a before and after photo of one small area of my leather seat, showing the improvement. A small amount of the black color came off on the beeswax sponge when I applied it, but none came off after the beeswax dried. This is a wonderful product and at this price is a good deal since you get both the recoloring balm and the beeswax. These are sizeable containers so they will last a long time. ... show more

    • A Quick Easy Way To Improve The Look Of Leather Car Seats

This recoloring balm is great for reconditioning slightly worn with small hairline crack vehicle seats. I have black seats and the color matched perfectly. The seats should be cleaned first with a good leather cleaner and once the color is applied it dries quickly. The only negative for me is this liquid like paste will get on everything in the vehicle. If the entire seat needs reconditioning it is much less messy if the seats can be removed! The only unknown is the durability which only time will tell. You can always re-apply. ... show more

Had hoped this would blend the beige leather on my couch. It does not blend and only trys to re-color. This may work with black or dark brown but not lighter colors.

    • Full Leather Repair Kit with Everything You Need

This kit is exactly what I was looking for to restore a leather banister in my home. I think the hardest part is making sure you get the right color, especially when it comes to browns. I was lucky and the Medium Brown I chose originally worked perfectly. The coloring balm works great and is easy to apply and wipe in and off as needed. The beeswax is a nice addition to restore faded or worn leather and can be applied even when not using the color balm.
