This pan is perfect for a small family. The food is surrounded by even heat making the food very evenly cooked, and, with the lid makes all meats so much better than my steel roasters or aluminum pans. We have cooked chicken, beef, rice, brussel sprouts in this and have had nothing but excellent results. The fit and finish of this pan are spectacular. I line the bottom with parchment paper which makes cleaning a snap. One last thing, it's low profile makes it a perfect fit in the oven when using more than one rack.
