Description

A smart and stylish addition to any in-home bar, this sleek crown sealer eliminates waste by preserving the flavor and finish of previously opened bottles of champagne or sparkling wine. The unit features an air-tight food- safe rubber seal, which secures around standard bottle crowns to lock carbonation inside and preserve contents for days--no more flat, tasteless pours when serving from partially full bottles. To use, simply screw the device onto the top of an opened bottle, and then flip down its switch-style valve to lock in the pressure and maintain all that delicious fizz. The sealer's high-quality metal construction ensures reliable use from one bottle to the next, while its airtight seal allows for storing bottles on their side without leaking. With its sleek, contemporary finish, the champagne crown sealer measures approximately 1-1/2 by 3 by 3 inches and carries a 10-year limited warranty.

  • Best recork for champagne!
This is the best cork to preserve champagne or other bubbly wines hands down. It is quite pricey, but it is extremely durable and works better than any other we have had. We usually empty the bottle the same evening it is opened, but when this is used, we have had the bubbly last for three days. It may even go longer, but we haven’t used it past three days. If ours ever fails, it’ll be replaced by this same cork. ... show more

  • ONLY FOR REAL CHAMPAGNE
Had I read the reviews more deeply, I would have known that this well-made item only works on real Champagne bottles, which apparently are standardized in terms of size and shape. This did not work on any of our sparkling wine bottles because the seal was not secure enough. It's really well made, heavy, and you could pass this down to your rich grandchildren who drink only real Champagne. Alas. We drink a lot of other stuff as well. I had to return it. ... show more

  • Expensive but best champagne stopper ever!
We saw this at a friends house and had to get one. It works better than any other champagne stopper we have ever used! Get it if the price doesn’t scare you.

  • Perfect stopper for Champaign
This works great!!! I want to buy one for everyone I know that enjoys a glass of bubbly without having to waste the rest or share at the time they open the bottle ;) used it on a bottle of Prosecco and re-opened it 2 days later and it was as if I just opened it. Would not recommend using it more than once on one bottle. ... show more

  • >> Best ever!!! Please read to understand 'why' some reviews are bad! Size Matters!
I've owned and gifted over a 15 of these stoppers over the past 40 years and can only say good things about it. There are several negative reviews complaining about cost and stopper not fitting, so lets drill down on that. First, Le Creuset is a french company and as such designed the dimensions of their stopper to accommodate real champagne bottles - french champagne bottles come in a very specific size! This stopper will fit all of them. The sparkling wines from other regions of france also abide by these dimensions so this stopper works on them as well. I drink mostly italian Proseccos - most fit with this stopper (possibly 1 didn't). Sparkling cider bottle dimensions are all over the map including screw tops, so these can be a challenge (best to use the model that has 2 arms that swing down over the edges). As for price, Le Creuset kitchen ware is costly but they last a life time and are usually passed down through family generations (Gave my set of Le Creuset enamel cast iron ware to my daughter years ago amounting to nearly $2K of casseroles & baking dishes). My Le Creuset stoppers are all over 40 years old and still work. During that time, I had 1 fail - the pin concerning the pivoting lever fell out after the decades. So 40 years at $40 is a dollar a year! Many other kitchen devices fail to get to 10 years before having some problem. I figure owning and gifting as many as I have for so long would given a different perspective from those will less experience time with this very product. If quality is what you seek, this is the stopper for you. If standard champagne bottles is what you drink, this is the stopper for you. Anything else use the drop down arm variety!... best regards..m ... show more
