I installed these on my old hot rod. The Delta 40 Flowmaster mufflers have an awesome sound but at cruising speed the raspy drone can get a bit annoying. After installation of these resonators I was pleasantly surprised at the noise reduction. While it doesn’t make the exhaust quiet by any means, it does take away the harshness when you’re up to speed. I estimate about 25-30% reduction in the raspy drone. It actually made the exhaust sound better in my opinion and allows you to hear all the glorious sound that only comes from a 90 degree V-8. These resonators are extremely well constructed of stainless steel and have a straight through design with no reduction of diameter which still allows the free flow of the pipe. These happen to be 3” diameter but I’m sure smaller pipes would reduce the noise a bit more. They slipped right in after cutting out a corresponding section of pipe and attach easily with band clamps for a crush free and leak free seal also allowing for easy removal if needed. Got the 11,5" version and after receiving it I kind of got scared that it wouldn't be enough but oh boy this thing is simply amazing. Built quality is amazing, looks great, fits perfect and sound is out of this world. 10/10 recommended.

After building a custom exhaust with a box of bends I didn’t have much room left to add components. 4.7 2UZ-FE 4Runner, I did the catless long tube tri y headers from Doug Thorley and the Y pipe. Paired that with mandrel bent 2.5 out to a black widow race venom muffler. Sounded like nascar in the power but had an awful drone at idle and around 2,000 rpm. The size of this resonator sold me on it. I installed it pre muffler to not lose the tuned sound my black widow and it’s absolutely perfect. Drone is entirely gone, idle is quieter and much deeper.
