This necklace was a very good quality for what it is, it was larger than I thought. Thought it was going to be a little bit more dainty and it ended up being a decent size. I gave this to my 10 year old niece so it was a little big for her but if she really likes the design I think she could carry it along into her teens. It wasn't what I would consider a little girl necklace it's definitely for somebody that is a bit older but if you're going for somebody ages 10 and up and they know how to take care of jewelry I could see this last thing a long time. The pendant is a bit larger then I expected. But that's not the problem. The problem is, where the soldered the ring for the chain, they didnt figure how the "disc" part would hang. So when it's on the chain, the moon crescent doesn't hang straight and the disc hangs overlapping the moon instead of being inside it. Unless I can think of a way to modify it,( because I really like it), its probably going back. Also, the disc is not attached to the moon. It's actually hanging from the same loop the moon is attached to the chain with. I do t know if the person putting it together was just sloppy, or if that's the quality of workmanship. The rest of the quality is fine. No sharp edges or anything like that. Would I recommend? I dont know. It would depend if this is a one time screw up, or if this is the true quality of the manufacturer. ... show more
