  • It is a very sturdy structure
The metal alone is probably worth what I paid. The steel is 5/16 inches thick! To make things easier, I put the rear wheels of my garden tractor up on blocks, to get under it and see better what's going on. I used a bench vise mounted to a platform, to bend the long pair of support arms to fit my Husqvarna TS 354XD. I also used a shop press to bend both pieces simultaneously and for greater precision, however a bench vise works fine. I placed a 3/8" diameter transfer punch in the slot of the support arm, positioned it in the correct location on the back of the tractor and whacked it with a hammer, to mark the hole location in the steel, before drilling. A transfer punch scores the metal in the exact spot where you want to drill, so the drill bit does not slip and skate around on the metal surface while drilling. I did this for each hole location. Then I drilled the 5/16" diameter holes through the back plate of my tractor, which is about 1/8" thick steel. My drill bit is 135-degree split-point HSS. This type of drill bit is best for drilling steel. To install the nuts for the support arm bolts, I taped the nut and washer to a wrench. Then slid it up behind the back plate of the tractor and screwed them on. If I ever remove the transmission, I would tack weld those bolts in place. The bolts and nuts provided are 5/16" size, probably grade 2. The slots in the steel support arms are 3/8" wide, so one could upgrade the bolts, if one was so inclined. My trailer tongue is level at 15" from the ground, but the tractor hitch puts the trailer tongue at about 19". So my trailer is tilted up slightly. It's probably better this way, to keep the weight off the back of the tractor. The trailer weighs 825 lbs. The tractor is about 700 lbs. Afterwards, I tested it by driving around my property and to show the neighbors. It is very sturdy. ... show more

  • Works Great
Works great. Was easy to install, just had to drill the upper mounting holes in the back of my mower. Install it loosely and tighten it all up after you get all the bolts in place.

  • Perfect for for Paulson Pro
Quickly added to my 2001 Paulson Pro 42" mower. Great for dragging around 750# dump trailer and 27 ton wood splitter.

  • Nice product
Went on easy. Worked well. Used to move demo waste from backyard to dumpster in front. Couldn't overload trailer since connection point on tractor is too weak. But very handy to be able to use it like this.

  • fits old craftsman mower
Found holes in the craftsman mower frame that roughly lined up and fit the supplied bolts (yay no drilling), and wrenches/sockets. All the nuts were nylock type which was nice. It would have been better if the kit included 3 more washers. short support arm angles were close but not perfect. should work. ... show more

  • Club Cadet XR1
Like most universal fit items it does not fit well. I got it on my 2016 XR1 without modification. However the mounts tilt down rear. The tow ball stilk engages properly with the trailer coupler. With a torch and good vise this tilt could be corrected but will work as is. I'm ok with it and delivery was fast and fit was useable. ... show more

  • Good fit in my case. Cub Cadet x1. Had to add hardware to finish the job.
Instructions very limited.

  • Thought it didn't fit but I had the bars on backwards
For those of you that are having a hard time mounting this make sure the arms are in the right direction. My first attempt made it seem like my back plate was too narrow and the bars were too far from the machine. Flip the bars around so that the sharp bend it toward the tractor and the shallow toward the hitch. I used the shorter bars on the top hole on the hitch on my 2004 Husqvarna LT1538. This thing is built solid and for $27.99 - 10% coupon it is an absolute steal. One of the bars lined up with an existing threaded hole so I just had to drill one on the other side to match. The supplied bolts were even the right thread (5/16") for existing holes. On the side I drilled I used a rivet nut so it's easier to remove. No need to hold a nut on the other side. It can be removed in 2 minutes to make room for my bagger bracket. ... show more
