The media could not be loaded. This self leveling laser does exactly what it promises to do - and that at a really low price. The device can be used in two modes: 1. Self leveling mode It levels itself out within a 4 degree range. When it goes out of range, then the LED on the top of the device will start to blink, indicating that the projected line is not level. 2. Fixed mode The two lines are fixed, so that we can project a straight line onto any surface. Both modes allow to project the horizontal or the vertical line by themselves. But also both lines can be enabled at the same time. The red line is clearly visible indoors under normal daytime lighting conditions. I used the laser level on a wall 30ft away without a problem. At the same time the line is barely (if at all) visible outside during the daytime. The two AA batteries are included and it comes with a magnetic mounting bracket. ... show more

This laser level has been excellent so far. I've used it for marking out a drop ceiling in a room. I used a metal plate to mount it to the height I needed and it rotated well enough for me to get a mostly 360 degree line. I checked it with a level and its perfect all the way around the room. The laser isn't strong enough for outside work in my opinion but it could be managed if needed. At around 50 ft the laser is still visible and could probably be used up to 75ft out depending on the light in the room. This is definitely the best value for me and for my needs beats the 300 dollar lasers I was considering getting. ... show more

I do machine embroidery and needed a crosshair to help me to hoop my embroidery projects straight. The only option prior was a "light bulb" and bulky fixture that holds the bulb. That option was more than 3 times the cost of this unit and this little guy doesn't takes up room on my work table. I had my husband use a clamp to secure it to the bookshelf above my table. Very useful piece of equipment for small projects around the house. Line are kinda thick when you have more than 15-20 ft, but it does the job. The only complain I would have is that it doesn’t have an indicator on the bracket to be able to install it at the desired height, without adjusting many times. The media could not be loaded. I love all of the applications for this, it can be screwed on to a tripod and projected up or down. Three different settings for horizontal, vertical or cross, can even flash. I recommend this will be great for my crafts.
