I swear these kids have so many more toys than we ever had. It’s a nightmare sometimes, so we had to figure out a way to deal with the clutter. We got our minimalistic toy box chest in “Grey” and were pleasantly surprised with how big it was. It fits so many toys (not all, but many of them) and is so aesthetically pleasing! It’s also soft to the touch. It’s easy to assemble but it’s not the easiest to open/close, especially if the child is young and has small hands. The toy box chest uses Velcro to keep it closed but this Velcro is pretty strong. Maybe with time it will weaken some, but for now, it’s not the easiest to maneuver if you’re little. To fix this, we have stored the box in the closet without its lid to prevent any meltdowns. It is being promoted as portable because it has handles but I don’t think I’d take it anywhere out of fear that it would get destroyed or ripped. It also had a strong odor when it first arrived. I bought two of these to store my kids toys. It is a pretty good size, and holds a lot of toys! I chose this over a wooden one for safety reasons. Honestly, they worked great for a few months but after a while my toddlers destroyed them. This is held up by pieces of thin cardboard so they are fragile. This would be a terrible toy box. It is best used for storage, it's not sturdy enough to be out on the floor where kids have access to it. I needed a way to store my blankets in my AirBnb, so I wanted something that looked nice. These work perfectly. Now I use them in my own home and I love them. I get them down off their high shelf every few weeks when we host family, but other than that I hardly think about them. Which means they work great! ... show more

I've looked a long while for a fabric container to put some plushies I have for display on my bed in. I wanted to have a sturdy container that didn't flop over or need to be filled fully to hold up. Most that I've seen have been used for storage, so most peeps didn't seem to care as much if it wasn't sturdy- even if the ad pictures pretended they were. I got some containers that lied what they were- I trusted the containers were solid and they lied and crumpled over. :'( So I was glad this container wasn't a faker and actually had some sorts of boards in the sides and lid to hold it up. It did have a bit of a chemical smell when I first got it, but it was gone after a couple days of airing out. I used the divider to add support for the bottom instead since it's not supported with board like the other sides. It's held up nicely so far, but maybe a child doing cannon balls on it wouldn't make it hold up too well, as I've read from a couple other reviews.
