So, ol' batchelor me got married. My wife had her fancy boots, I only had work boots, I needed something a little nicer. I didn't want to drop $300 on a new pair, so I tried these. First off, while they aren't real leather, you'd be hard pressed to tell. The black took a real good shine, and they're still looking great. The little metal accents may try to work themselves loose-mine did not. The only thing I will say, while the size is dead on, the width isn't the greatest. This could be a fault of the boot, or the design of the pointed toe, I'm sure it's a combination of the two. Whatever your width, go one size up and you'll be good to go. I don't get what the complaints are on this boot. Yes, it is a pointed boot, which takes some getting used to, but I have owned cowboy boots all my life, and these are QUALITY boots. Perfect for riding, everyday wear, and they look good in both cases. Any new boot comes stiff, and mine are wearing in at a good rate. These fit great right out of the box, this is my 3rd or 4th pair of Laredo. Each pair has lasted me 8-10 years. I take the toe and heel trim off, as soon as i get them.. It looks good, but im just not into the flash and bling. I give them a good coat of polish, before the 1st trip outside. And with regular polish, they will last a long time. I wear mine to work, in snow, rain and mud, polish them up and theyre ready for church on sunday. ... show more

These boots are well constructed, fit me perfectly, are extremely comfortable--as long as I'm wearing boot socks!--and beautiful. I work at a car dealership, and I have never gotten more compliments, from both colleague and client, on any boots I have ever worn.
