I was trying to think of something that would work for my son (10 years old) and I remembered my painful breastfeeding experience and the over night relief they gave me...so I figured...why not try it for my son? Wonderful nipple cream and I love how you don’t have to wipe it off before breastfeeding! The product dispenses with great ease compared to the Medela nipple cream tube. The Lansinoh opening is wider and only requires one hand whereas the smaller opening of the Medela tube often requires both hands and is more difficult to dispense. Normally that wouldn’t matter too much except that when you’re breast-feeding you usually only have one hand free to apply the cream. This is the ultimate nipple cream. It’s baby-safe and saved my nipples. I started using it immediate in the hospital and haven’t had issues with cracking or bleeding. A must-have for your hospital bag and nursing kit! PRO TIP: to apply, put a pea size amount on your finger tip and warm it up by rubbing your fingers back and forth. This was a lifesaver in the early days of breastfeeding. I tried other products but kept coming back to this, because the consistency was thicker and it seemed to protect me more from the fabric of reusable nursing pads and provide relief for my sore nipples.
