I had ridiculously chapped lips. Skin peeling off, a couple of blood spots from skin peeling off - the worst. And why? because I stopped using my trusty aquaphor because that or Vaseline contain petrolatum which can break down into micro plastics and harm the environment- particularly marine life. So I was on the lookout for something that was natural and moisturizing. Got some beeswax initially - but I kept it in too large a bottle and so frequently forgot to apply. I also had to warm it up in my hand / fingers a lot before I applied it to my lips. So chapped they stayed. Until I found this wonderful natural product. Feeling quite sheepish that I didn't spot it earlier :D Lanolin is easy to warm up between my finger tips and apply on to my lips and the product is so hydrating. I've been using it for ~3 HOURS now and all the dry skin is off and my lips feel super moisturized. It also doesn't feel like some goop is on my lips - which is how most other lip balms (including aquaphor) make me feel. You barely feel like there's anything on your lips - which is exactly how I like them. The product is a bit tricky to squeeze out of the tube - because it's pretty cold outside right now. I have Sjogren's and this is the ONLY thing that helps my extremely dry lips. I've tried everything from Aquaphor to Blistex: Lip Medex. I only wish it had and SPF version but I absolutely love this product

I was so pleased to find a lanolin lip ointment. I don't think there is anything greasier than lanolin. I have chronic chapped lips. I put a little on my lips before bed time and it does not dry out over night, like other ointments I have tried.
