  • Feels like writing on paper!
Style: POM tip
As a psychotherapist, I rely heavily on technology to keep my notes organized and secure. I recently purchased the AMY AL-Star Black EMR 471 with POM Tip for Coating Surface pen, and it has quickly become an essential tool during my sessions. The pen's smooth writing surface allows me to easily jot down important details and thoughts during my sessions, without interrupting the flow of conversation. The POM tip is particularly useful, as it allows me to write on a variety of surfaces without damaging them. As soon as my session is finished, my Boox Note Air uploads my notes to Dropbox for safekeeping. This feature has saved me countless hours of time that would have been spent manually transferring notes from paper to digital format. Additionally, the pen's sleek design and comfortable grip make it easy to hold and write with for extended periods of time. Overall, I highly recommend the AMY AL-Star Black EMR 471 with POM Tip for Coating Surface pen to any psychotherapist or a mental health professional looking for a reliable and efficient way to take session notes. The pen's smooth writing surface, and versatile POM tip, make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to streamline their note-taking process. Investing in this pen has not only improved my workflow, but has also provided me with greater peace of mind knowing that my notes are safe and secure. ... show more

  • A classy stylus for remarkable2
Style: POM tip
I lost my remarkable2 stylus almost immediately and left it on a shelf. Finally looked into a replacement and this was a favorite of the forums. I expected more heft from a metal pen, but the aluminum is quite light. I need the cap on the back of the pen for proper feel and balance, but it doesn't fit very tightly. Having a nice thick pen body feels lovely in my hand. This is a regular all-star body, so you can swap with other pen parts if you want different colors or lose the cap. So that's nice. Ironically, I found my remarkable2 stylus two days after this arrived. The POM tip on the LAMY is nice but slick. the remarkable tip is like perfect butter. Good news: remarkable stylus tips fit in this LAMY. (They wear down soooo much faster, that's what causes that nice paper-feel friction). Recap: all in all I love the pen. I wish the cap fit a little more securely. Both better and cheaper than a replacement stylus from remarkable. Wish I liked the included tips better. Docking 1 star from sturdiness but still declaring 5 star over all. Ps. The button doesn't do anything by default with the remarkable. I heard there is a software you can install to enable it. I do miss the convenience of the "eraser" on the back of my deluxe remarkable stylus. If i could use the button as eraser mode (or better to swap between pen and select modes) that would be amazeballs. PPS. Supernote sells this pen in colors, so you don't have to buy a regular AllStar in your color and swap them around. A bit more expensive and slower to ship. Check over there if this one is sold out. ... show more

  • Excellent stylus, but the grip's not for regular Lamy fountain pen users.
Style: POM tip
The good: This is an exceptionally good Wacom-compatible stylus. It tracks well, it has a button, and it's comfortably lightweight. The cap is a wonderful touch. It protects the nib when not in use and makes using a stylus loop a breeze. Despite some reviews saying otherwise, the pen barrel is, in fact, interchangeable with (at least fountain pen, possibly rollerball) Safari models. The plastic ring at the base of the grip is fixed to the barrel on the Al-Star and to the grip on the Safari, but it's easy and non-destructive to swap the Safari's ring over to the Al-Star grip. With that done, the barrel's threading is the same between the examples I have handy so the Safari barrel screws right on. The cap from my safari does fit when the barrel is swapped over, but loosely. I don't have a rollerball Safari handy, but the cap from one may fit better. The fountain pen cap seems to be subtly different inside and out. The bad: The Al-Star DMR stylus is in nearly every way identical to the Al-Star rollerball pen, including a distinct difference in the grip when compared to the Safari and Al-Star fountain pens. The fountain pens have two flat sections at the top of the grip, with a rounded bottom. The rollerball pen and DMR stylus have three flat spots. It's a seemingly minor change, but it produces a feel in the hand that's utterly alien to a regular user of the otherwise-identical fountain pens. Personally, I'm really not a fan. The fountain pen grip has a very small contact patch on the supporting finger, which focuses its (light) weight enough that it feels substantial in the hand without actually being heavy. The flat-bottomed rollerball design spreads its weight out much more, and as a result feels like it might float away at any instant despite actually being noticeably heavier (11.9g vs 9.2g for the safari, both without the cap posted) than the Safari fountain pen I'm comparing it to. I suspect this is a significant contributing factor to the many reviews questioning whether the barrel is actually aluminum (it is). In short, if you have no experience with a Lamy fountain pen or like their rollerball pens, you'll probably love this stylus. It's great. If you use a Safari or Al-Star fountain pen regularly, don't expect a perfectly matched writing experience. The rollerball-derived design just can't deliver. ... show more

  • Perfect replacement for S-Pen
Style: POM tip
The media could not be loaded. The materials are definitely premium, the pen is comfortable for long drawing or writing sessions and having a thicker body helps. I have tried with several different apps on my galaxy tab a 8.0 with spen (2019) and works flawlessly. The programable button works depending on the app you're using. ... show more

  • Ok, see below
Style: POM tip
It works in the remarkable 2 and good feedback. It just is not very comfortable to write with due to the balance (weight). I tried it with the cap on (makes it too too heavy) and off as well. Finally was able to use a rubber band to keep it closer to my finger (hard to explain) and it helped. Wish it had some 5-10 gram weight at the bottom so I would not need to use my thumb pressure to hold it down. Looked online and some people have used nails in the barrel to make it more balanced (will try that) It is good enough to keep ... show more
