  • Multi-sensory cloth book for younger babies
Color: Classic Discovery
Bought this for our daughter when she was 4 months old. At the time, she loved the crinkly sounds the front and back pages make. I tried to get her to feel the different textures on each page (normal cloth, smooth satiny, textured felt etc.), but she really just preferred to chew and suck on corners of the book and ribbon material for the sun rays. Since this is a wordless cloth book, you can make up your own story as you flip the 4 flaps, including covers, that show different animals with scenery (every second page is a blow-up pic of what you see on the previous page, eg. blue bird on the moose, fish in the river, star in the sky). There's a squeak in the blue bird and a rattle in the fish. It also comes with a big round clip for attaching to a stroller or car seat. I sometimes hook it around the cot slat, to prevent it from being flung out by our baby. It is a well-constructed book in terms of durability and is washable. I took a star off because our daughter is now 13 months old and has barely shown any interest in the cloth book in the last 3 months. She definitely likes real books a lot more. While it is not likely a toy that will grow with your child, it is still good value for the purpose it served. ... show more

  • Great cloth book for younger infants
Color: Classic Discovery
My 4 month old daughter loves this book. It's the right size that she can turn the pages easily by herself and she loves the crinkly sound. She hasn't quite figured out how to work the squeaky sound and rattle yet. Sometimes she'll explore the different textures of the pages (felt, satiny, shiny, etc) but I have to show it to her and rub her fingers over it a few times first. Love that I can wash it because everything goes straight to her mouth these days. We started "reading" this book when she was a little over 2 months old, before she learned to grab things, and the colors caught her attention and got her excited every time. She prefers this over Squishy Turtle, I guess because Squishy Turtle is a bit more muted and she seems to really enjoy the very brightly colored books like those by Karen Katz ... show more

  • Good toy, BUT sent in a used condition
Color: Classic Discovery
This toy is great! BUT the seller send us a very used one. It was dirty with some white spots on it. We bought it as a new one, so we sent it back. Very disappointing....

  • A nice first "book" for newborns
I've been reading all kinds of kids books to my newborn, but most of them are not designed for such a little person (even the Boynton books, as cute as they are). This cloth book is a fun tool to engage her with high-contrast images while flipping "pages" to encourage interest in books as she grows. And because it's soft I can just leave it right in the playpen so it's there to pick up and use any time. I also like the crinkly panda on the front - I take my daughter's hand and have her touch it. Overall I recommend this as a good first book for baby. ... show more

  • Bedtime book
Color: Classic Discovery
There are no words, but it's one of my son's bedtime rituals to put him to bed and probably will be one of my favorite memories. He's 8 months old and he's been put to sleep by it and has been crinkling the pages since forever. I'm grateful for it.

  • Lamaze Cloth Book
I do like the book. My daughter enjoys it. I like that its bigger than other cloth books. I just wish there was more textures and what not on all the pages, not just the front cover. I did read about that though in the reviews before buying this. This book just seemed like a better quality compared to others that I've looked at and it is really good quality. ... show more

  • Quality book, cute animal pics, but not very interesting somehow
Nice, quality book with adorable animal pictures, but somehow neither the grandbaby nor I are into this book. He's 9 months old now and has had the book for several months. He doesn't show interest in looking at it or handling it or interacting with it in any way, and when I go to 'read' it, there's just not much there on the page to talk about or really look at. I think since I ordered this when he was a few months old I was liking the high contrast black and white animals, but I wish I'd ordered Peek a Boo Forest instead. It would make for a better read. ... show more
