I bought these skates for my 3 year old daughter in size 10. This is a size up from her shoe size so she has room to grow. She is taking skating lessons and these were just what we needed for our weekly class. The skates offer a good level of ankle support without being too stiff for a young skater. Because my daughter is so young and still likes to kick her feet when she is laying on the ice we opted not to sharpen her skates and are using them with the factory sharpen. While the blades are not truly sharp out of the box she has no trouble gliding and doing hops and "twirls" while keeping her balance. The skates do rub her ankles a little so we always have her wear longer socks and that seems to have solved the rubbing problem. Overall I think this is a great skate for a beginning to intermediate level skater. ... show more

Same as I bought before. Only need bigger size now. Same great quality and kiddo foot is ok with it. Just always buy one size bigger to make perfect fit, otherwise it ll be small.

the boot has ZERO support. In fact, there is so much NO support it is borderline dangerous. The skates seemed to fit fine and comfortably while my daughter stood in them on the ground but once she got on the ice and started skating they began to fall apart. My purchase process was very easy & in spite of the over 2 & 1/2 feet of snow we got were on my doorstep extremely quick. these double bladed skates for my daughters, age 7. She tried skating the day before on regular skates with minimal success and major frustration. When they put these on, they were off and gone! I bought these for my girl. I sized up... and they work! I do kinda wish I’d sized up one more though. She wears a toddler 8 shoe, I purchased a 9, and she still tells me that her feet/ankle hurts. I'm sorry for the poor rating. The skates don't have enough ankle support, when my daughter used them for 2 lessons, she got painful feet and always weird positions during skating. The teacher suggested changing to rentals and it's actually no problem at all. Return later than 30 days and amazon only give me partly refund. Unhappy experience! ... show more

Awful. My daughters instructor pulled her off the ice the first time she wore these because the boot wasn’t holding up her ankle! They said it was unsafe. Would not recommend!
