I love the look and quality of the item. I think it’s worth the additional cost because of the quality. It is a bit heavy but I don’t intend to use it at the beach, just by the pool where it won’t ever get extremely wet or heavier. I would be slightly concerned with how quickly it dries it you make it very wet however that’s not experience and from what I’ve used it for it is great.
