  • Great boots!
Size: 10 Color: Optifade Elevated Ii
I wear these boots daily all fall and winter, plus on exceptionally wet days into the spring. I wear them for ranch work. Extremely durable, warm and comfortable. This is my second pair, I will buy them again when these wear out.

  • I love these boots but your feet may not be the same as mine. Do your homework!
I spent a long time shopping for these boots. Seems like I tried on just about every brand and model out there. I chose these because of the good reviews, the relatively affordable price and also because of the peculiar way they fit my feet - they were the best fit and just seemed "right" but I only arrived at that by trying on 10 or 12 different brands/styles. It was work, but worth it. One difficulty was picking size 12D or 13D. I'm cursed because I usually need a 12.5D in most boots so I'm almost always stuck choosing bigger or smaller than that. The 13D was right for me in this case because, a little roomy in length and width allows for good blood flow and warmer feet when sitting in a tree stand or a duck blind for a long time. Too big, however, allows for blisters when I'm moving around a lot. These are just right in that regard, however. We're just about finished with deer season this year and I've put probably 25 to 30 miles on them - primarily during three or four outings, not including the five or six outings when I was either in a ground blind or on a tree stand. They were very comfortable all day long, whatever I was doing - walking, sitting or stalking, but know that when I'm stalking around the woods, I'm doing just that - stalking. Going slow, creeping. Because they're a bit big on me I'd need to put on a second pair of socks if I was going forced march style and I suspect my feet might be sore after a day of that - but that's not what they're designed for, IMO. This being my first pair of this style boot, one thing that was a little different is that I'm used to a more breathable, Gortex-style boot. With those I change my socks when I stop for lunch. With these, while I was out actively stalking, I had to change socks twice a day, and probably could have stood a third time on occasion. My feet sweat that much in them while moving around. That's not a bad thing, however. Just bring extra socks and take care of your feet. Cheers! ... show more

  • Good boots for trudging through swamps
Many years ago I bought a pair of LaCrosse camouflaged 'Burly' hunting boots that became my preferred footwear every hunting season. I trudged through many a swamp with those boots and I was always impressed with how they performed. Some people complain about perspiring feet in rubber boots, but the truth is, if you're walking through swamps your feet are going to get damp one way or another, and a good rubber boot is probably your best option. This year my old boots finally developed cracks and it was time to replace them. Since I had been so happy with my original LaCrosse boots, I decided to buy these Alphaburly Pro boots, since they seemed to be the closest replacement. The new boots fit well, and are comfortable. I like the textured lining and the tread is better than my old boots. I wore them hunting last weekend, and overall I was happy with them. On the downside, these boots seem to be bulkier - although this might be a positive if you like a roomier boot, it seems that they have added more height to the toe area. Also, I was disappointed to see that they are now made in China, although this doesn't seem to affect the quality. Overall a good product and I recommend them. ... show more

  • Warm, dry, and sturdy, but runs large
Seeing how most people said the boots fit normally, I originally ordered an 11, thinking heavy socks would be enough to make it fit well. I was very wrong. I wear a 10.5 US and it was gigantic, so I ordered a 10, and there's still more room than I'd like. I bought some insoles because they were hurting my heels, and now they fit much better. So, now that they fit they're a nice boot. It isn't winter yet, but I can tell they're going to keep my feet warm. They are definitely water proof. I do work in wetlands and streams and they've been submerged close to their top with no leaking. The cinching strap, like everything else on the boot, runs large, so even when I cinch it all the way, it's not as tight as I'd like, so sticks and leaves still find their way into the bottom of the boot on occasion. The weight isn't too bad, considering how large the boots are, but they aren't a light boot, so keep that in mind. Overall I'd recommend these over muck masters, if you get them in your size. Definitely get one smaller, half size to one full size smaller, than you normally wear in boots. ... show more

  • LaCrosse is the Way to Go
Everything you'd expect from LaCrosse in a boot. My old boots had worn out and I stick with what works. I hunt here in NC and this type of boot is a must have. They're super comfortable and they dry out quickly from your own perspiration when the hunt is done. The soles are pretty quiet but this is a sturdy type tread so it's not like hunting barefoot. My only wish is that they made a kids version as my son has to piggyback a lot out here to get him across creeks and some parts of the swamp. He's just now in the Size 6 men's but I'm sure there are a lot of other dads out there that will agree it's tough to find a good tall waterproof boot for kids. The fit is a little big, maybe a half size larger than expected but come this fall and winter when I put on my insulated socks they'll be perfect. 4 stars, I'd give them 5 if they're would come down on the price a little. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit, great boot, can't go wrong with these, especially if they are used....mine were... but showed up Brand New!!
I stole these. They were listed as "Used" and I received them today and they were Brand spankin NEW!! All for the low price of $68 bucks. Geez, you can't get much better than that for a boot that is MSRP $150. Perfect fit as I where a 10 in loafers and a 9.5 in running shoe (Asics) and I ordered a size 10. They fit true to size. I live in Alabama where it only gets cold in January. When I say cold, I mean high's in the 50's and lows in the 30's and 20's. I know that is summer compared to some areas but hey, summer here is 100 degrees with 99% humidity. I'll take that any day. Anyways, back to the boots, all I really need is a thick sock and these boots are perfect. Like a columbia wool sock. Highly recommend and if you can find the ones that say used, I highly recommend those too. Can't wait to hunt in them this weekend. ... show more
