Hi I wanted to review because all of the reviews for this dress really pushed me to order it- but here are a few tips: For reference I am 5’2” 189 lbs (street size 12-14) and ordered a 16w but then sent them my measurements. 1- I sent them my measurements (I had done by a seamstress) immediately after placing the order. I just referenced the order number. !!! Make sure the height you send them is with heels! Do not try to clarify by saying “I’m 5-2 but wearing 3 inch heels”. They will make the dress for 5-2. I have to get material added to the bottom because of that. 2- they were great at ‘sort of’ communicating. I did get responses but wasn’t entirely sure that what I was saying was understood if that makes sense. 3- I got the dress in the first day of expected delivery 4- the ivory I requested to be darker- I am not sure that translated as it is still pretty light. They said they would send me pics before making but they did not. 5- you WILL need to allow for alterations. The pictures are of me with it (semi) pinned up by the seamstress. I chose a fitted gown so there needs to be parts let out and taken in. This would probably be different for a ball gown with a corset back. Or if you are lucky enough to not be “full figure”—- But for $250 in alterations it’s still a pretty gown that will photo nicely. 6- the material is ok. It is heavy but someone else mentioned “costume type material” and I am inclined to agree- but honestly for the price point it was what I expected. And no one can feel the itchiness in the pics! 7- not sure if measurements helped with this but the breast cups are PERFECT. I am a 38DD I don’t have to wear a bra which is PRICELESS. Overall I am very happy with my purchase! I have been to multiple dress shops, consignment shops and chain bridal stores and just couldn’t justify a 1,000 gown for a small second wedding. If you’re thinking of buying this dress, do it! This is my second wedding and I honestly didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a dress so Amazon I went looking! I contemplated on this dress for months cause there wasn’t many reviews that showed the dress other than stock photos. I ordered it and instantly fell in love once it arrived. I had a September wedding, the weight of the dress wasn’t an issue. I ordered a size 18 when I’m a size 16, cause reviews stated it runs small, I don’t think it runs small at all, if anything it runs the correct size. I am 5’5”, the dress was a little long on me but nothing a heel couldn’t fix. The corset is beautiful and made it so I didn’t need alterations at all. My bust size is 38D, the dress fit perfectly in the bust with no bra. Shipping took about a month. Only con, I could not lift my arms above my head due to the sleeves but I didn’t think of that when I bought this style, so it was more of my error. ... show more
