There’s like a middle flap of feathers that I couldn’t figure out. Does it go up? Down? Inside? The line of feathers sticking up were more in my face than I expected. I ended up pushing it all behind me. I wasn’t a fan of the one ribbon it was to secure the whole thing. Didn’t matter too much since I also had a feather boa wrapped around the whole thing which secured it all nicely. It looked really good in the end when everything was figured out and in place anyway! The only drawback to this colllar/shawl would be if you have a short neck you might be having a fave full of feathers. You could easily trim the feathers though. I trimmed a couple feathers near my lips down to a more manageable length but over all I was looking for something like this in length.

Looked amazing on and everyone seemed impressed. It did leave a black stain around my neck that was very hard to get off. I wore it all day and noticed the black on my neck after a few hours. Also left minor scratches too.

I got this shawl for a Carnivale-themed Halloween party and it adds the perfect silhouette to my look! I've only worn it around the house so far but it stays in place. The night of the party I plan on using a pin to close the ties together and actually tie them at my back under the feathers since I don't love how a regular bow tie looks hanging in front, though with my outfit wearing these "backwards" makes more sense because, ya know, cleavage. I ordered the black version and it is true black, some shine but no green sheen like there is on some other "black" feather items I am wearing. It's fine though, the party will be dark anyway. If you want this to fit around your neck you will have to figure out how to adjust it. It's long enough to drape around shoulders. Made well, no damaged feathers, feathers had beautiful colors/ luster .
